Cons:If mounted vertically (upright), you need to keep the barbs at the bottom, can make it tough to run tubing in some cases where holes are pre-drilled at the top.
Pros:Cheaper than a regular 220-QP and MCRES, simplifies your loop, great for bottom mounting too, fillport acts as drain plug. Comment:
This is based on the tried and true 220-QP unit, so performance is very good with low speed fans.The built-in reservoir is brilliant, no need for a cheap plastic box full of coolant inside the case for those of that like less blingy WC setups.And as an extra added bonus, it'll fit on the bottom of a CM Stacker 83x case with no mods, thanks to the close-spaced barbs...just remove the mesh from the case, screw two fans through the pre-drilled case holes to the QP-RES (barbs at the back of the case), and you have a nice clean bottom mounted radiator. Downside is that you sort of lose the reservoir convenience mounting that way, so you'll need an additional T-line or res of some sort. Me, I run a 120-QP-RES in a drive bay, so I fill and bleed from there.And as an extra extra added bonus that offsets losing the res part, the fillport on the radiator acts as a very nice drain plug if you bottom mount it. Not difficult to bleed mounted that way either, just tilt the case forward a bit to let trapped air rise to the barbs. |

This is an excelent rad if you want to cut back on flow impendance and extra stuff in your case such as a res and tubing going to it. Its very well built too, nicer than my last rad. Very happy with this rad, performance is excellent with my OC'ed dual core/single gpu loop and NF-P12's. The built in res bleeds air from the loop very quickly, and frees up a bit of space internally. My only gripe is with the fill cap. The cap itself is plastic and uses PG11 threading, which makes finding a replacement difficult. A standard G1/4 bung would be much better.
