This card uses an asmedia sata controller like the more expensive asus boards use for their non-native / secondary ports. The card works, whereas the more expensive siverstone sata3 card locked up my system and failed halfway through writes every time. |
Installed with no problems. Tested it on my Haswell I3 system. Tested it with a hard drive using Crystal Disk. The reads/writes were almost the same using the onboard or the card. I will test it again with a ssd when I purchase another. Going to use it in a server, not sure which OS to use.
