Bought this as a father's day present for a dad addicted to coffee. It was good in that it's a cool little gadget that you'd think would be quite nice for someone sitting on a computer all day with a cup of coffee beside them. Unfortunately unless their mug has a flat bottom, or fits the heating pad perfectly, your coffee won't actually stay that warm. Warmer than if you left it alone, but not much better than lukewarm.

I have tried this product out on basically every kind of mug. Nothing ceramic will be warmed or stay warm from it. This means that no traditional coffee mug works with the device, ridged or flat bottomed. I even bought a glass tea cup to try it out on and the best I can say is that the mug warmer keeps the tea warm for about 5 minutes longer than it would without the device. Mostly useless, purchase at your own expense.

This USB powered coffee warmer gets hot enough to keep a large coffee warm but does not get hot enough to burn your hand or your child's hand. All my mugs have a ridge on the bottom around the perimiter of the base, but the warmer really only gets hot in the middle. I just have to find the right cup. It works good and I got it for half price.
