TP-Link TD-8840T External ADSL2+ Modem & Router
Cons:Feels cheap, poor support, didn't last
Pros:Cheap, simple, no need for a router Comment:
I got this modem because I didn't want a bunch of wires running a modem and a router, so this worked great. I use it with Teksavvy my ISP, and setup was simple and work. However, 4 months later I had intermittent issues, where a day or two my net was dropping a lot, running 1/16th the max speed etc, then ran perfectly fine for weeks. ISP said modem issues, TP-Link said ISP issue. Finally got really bad and have barely had internet the past 2 weeks so borrowed another modem, works fine, so modem issue. At this point TP-Link has stopped responding as soon as I mentioned warranty repair. Quick to say the ISP, and vanished once became a warranty situation. |

TP-Link TD-8840T External ADSL2+ Modem & Router
Cons:
No instructions for the many advanced features.
Pros: Great price, 4 ports, does it's job, simple. Comment:
This modem/router combo gets the job done and services 4 devices without a problem. The price was good and it's easy to use. However there are no instructions or help for using the advanced features and settings, although very few people will need or want to touch those. I personally don't have a good DSL connection to my ISP, but this modem seems to handle it well and doesn't drop connection very often. So far I can't really justify buying the much more expensive models or buying the combination of a single port modem and a separate router when this gets the job done in one low cost device. |

TP-Link TD-8840T External ADSL2+ Modem & Router
Cons:
None so far
Pros: PriceCombines router and modem Comment:
When my old combination of modem and router failed, I was not able to identify the problem: modem and router seemed working individually but not together (very strange). So I bought this combined device TD-8840T at price of 29.99$. Very satisfied: easy to configure and to use. And given that it is 2-in-1, no problem of compatibility between modem and router :-) |

TP-Link TD-8840T External ADSL2+ Modem & Router
Cons:
QoS difficult to setup, TP-Link tech support needs to monitor it's calls
Pros: Very Stable, Easy to Setup, All cables and ADSL Filter, green lights Comment:
This inexpensive modem router is far better than the one provided by Bell(Netgear). The QoS was not easy to setup, but I used the info from the Cisco site to define the protocol priority.Excellent router on the web and in network traffic. |

Pros: SimpleCheap Comment:
Work perfect with a DSL connexion. A lot a features such as vlan, integrated FW, QoS, etc...Best price ever for a DLS Router, it does the job for really cheap. |
gives me fast internet at a very low price, got it up running in no time, i guess there could be wifi but wire is still more reliable than anything else
