TRENDNET 4PORT KVM SWITCH USB KIT
Cons:
I'd easily accept a unit that was a little thicker and had all it's ports on the back or a separate switch to put on the desktop. No sound.
Pros: Easy to switch, connects fairly quickly, Simple and does the job. Comment:
For fixing pc's this KVM switch has been a life saver. Works efficiently, it's easy to switch. I had a toss up between this and a model that had DVI, I went this route because I can always use a vga to dvi adapter when needed and got it for about $25. |

TRENDNET 4PORT KVM SWITCH USB KIT
Cons:
uh....none? If I were really picky, the ports are not in order. eg around the KVM, it goes 4, 1, 3, 2. yeh. And also, no double tap option to revert to previous console, only double tap to move forwards.
Pros: Works perfect, long cables! Comment:
Seriously I wasn't expecting much from Trendnet, but yet again pleasantly surprised. KVM works exactly as expected, and at $20 can't go wrong. Long cables included, very sturdy material. The actual KVM is pretty cheap plastic but not that we need it tough anyway. No buggy operations, and have used it for weeks very often. |

TRENDNET 4PORT KVM SWITCH USB KIT
Cons:Constant hiccuping, causing keyboard to multi-stroke and mouse to spasm
Pros:Simple installationIndividual buttons to switch between machines Comment:
As the PS/2 version of this had served me well, I decided to buy this USB KVM. Everything seemed alright for a couple days, and then it constantly disconnected and reconnected itself, and if typing/using an input device while this happens, letters to multiple-stroke and the mouse to jerk around and become unresponsive.I believe the only reliable USB kvm switches are made by IOGear; no problems with them other than that you have to press a solitary switch button multiple times to switch between PCs. |

TRENDNET 4PORT KVM SWITCH USB KIT
Cons:Quit. Got RMA. Waited weeks for new unit. Second unit failed the same way in about the same time.
Pros:Worked fine for about 6 weeks. Comment:
Big waste of money, not to mention installation time, loss of productivity, and frustration.[Trendnet RMA#115753]DO NOT EVEN THINK OF BUYING ONE OF THESE UNITS! |
So far has worked great. USB is nice to have now sinec I don't keep much PS2 stuff still around, and even my oldest machines have USB.Switches decently, but not exactly peppy or quick. The keystrokes to switch are hit and miss.Plastic casing is cheap, but to be expected. It is at the mercy of the cables for staying in position since the cables will push it around with ease if the cables or bumped or pulled.Otherwise, it works great for managing machines I don't use as often. Nothing amazing, but for the sale price I got the first one at, if I ever needed 4 more machines managed, I'd grab it.
