TRENDnet TC-NT2 Cable Tester
Cons:But pricey for such a basic tester
Pros:Very easy to use Comment:
This is as simple a tester as ive ever used, but it works well. Pairs nicely with the Trendnet TC-TP1 Network Probe for tracing down broken lines, or unlabelled termination points. Thought it was kind of expensive for its features, but its solid and im happy with it. |

TRENDnet TC-NT2 Cable Tester
Cons:None. Cannot go wrong with this.
Pros:Great cable tester. Simple and easy to use. Small and portable. Love the auto scan feature. Comment:
Bought this to help resurrect some of the patch cords with broken connectors. This tester is very small comparing to the one that I used before. The auto scan elimiates the need to press the button for each wire. Now I am confident that the repaired cable will function correctly. |

A simple to use tool to test home-made cables with. Has an auto mode to cycle through all the wires without having to click on the button manually. It has a tone generator built in however the probe is not included. Battery is not included. |

TRENDnet TC-NT2 Cable Tester
Cons:
Somewhat pricyDoes not come with a battery (needs 1 9V)
Pros: Works greatAutotest is very handy Comment:
This was a great tool to have when I was terminating all the network cables in my townhouse. The builders pre-wired it but did not terminate the cables in the garage. I used this and a crimp tool to finish the job. I hooked up the the main unit at one end and then set it to auto. Then I used the other part to check that it received the signal okay. It just cycles 1 through 8 and then you know it is hooked up in correct order and the crimping worked. |

TRENDnet TC-NT2 Cable Tester
Cons:
lacks adapterscost
Pros: simple & easy Comment:
This is a great little product for testing ethernet cables. Its a little expensive, I wouldn't recommend buying it without a nice price match. It can test ethernet and coaxial with a BNC adapter provided. However, as it says, it lacks the adapters to test USB a/b, and IEEE 4 and 6 pin cables. For the asking price($47 at time of this review), I believe these adapters really should be included. All in all, I definably don't regret the purchase, but I wouldn't have bought it without the $10 less price match |
satisfy the purpose at such a price - a good bargain
