It operates The tolerances are so loose that I had to literally hold the Ethernet cable in to preserve a signal. Ultimately I ended up wedging a piece of wood involving the cable and the side of the laptop tomaintain a signal. Spen the further บ and get a good quality item

Excellent cost for NIC and computer software drivers. Newegg processing and delivery have been good as constantly. Item LEDs do not operate. Product is defective as it does not permit data flow. Win XP (Home) recognized NIC card promptly (no drivers important), but card does NOT perform. I checked all the web protocols, and so on. and spent time on the phone with the ISP tech spt particular person to no avail. Conclusion: defective merchandise.

These, like the Azio NICs, do not operate in all the a variety of desktops I have tried them in. I returned the NIC to Trendnet and they say it is OK. The one particular they returned does not operate either. No manufacturer refunds too. We will need to be receiving some Chinese junk. QC is not on the job or the new boards just do not work with four year old PCs.

Cost, functionality None that I've grow to be conscious of. I bought this NIC to replace a 3com that would quit responding whenever the network traffic load got also higher (first time I've seen that). Threw this one in and haven't had a issue due to the fact. I'm employing it in a little network storage box on my house network, I'd almost certainly have gotten anything a tiny beefier for a higher-finish server.

External antenna gets great signal strength. Inexpensive, easy to install. Antenna is little for as excellent as the signal it picks up, which makes it simple to hide. None The connection utility that comes packaged with the driver on the disc is easy to uninstall and isn't necessary to function. Just in case you're like me and you want to handle your wireless connections with Windows Configuration Utility, keeping a single significantly less system running on your systray.

Cheap, works, universal PCI Ɠ.3V or 5V), autodetected and installed by Win XP Not totally free? In our somewhat undemanding church network ྪ systems) they operate just as effectively as any other NIC. I order them by the half dozen given that we routinely lose them to lightning strikes (terrible wiring - even surge protectors don't assist).Based on a decent Realtek chipset, supports both 5V and three.3V PCI buses, and a simple set up in Windows XP. All for only six bucks. What's not to like?

I bought one particular of these for a swift replacement in a Dell Vostro 200. Going against these evaluations, I tested this card in numerous desktops to see if what the reviews mentioned had been correct. This card was capable to operate in each and every desktop I installed it in: A number of Dells and other custom built PCs. Because fiveቭ񳏊, WOL has worked every single single day. I would purchase an additional 1 of these if I ever required to. Very advised. None.

This has been a excellent card for me, and was good to perform with. I don't like the reality that the bracket twists whilst being secured. -1 Egg for the bracket. Update to buy in: eightǟ񳏉I retired the NIC given that it was no longer needed. But I'm certain that with time it could go back in service.
