TRENDnet TEW-654TR Wireless Travel Router Kit
Cons:First connections can hang for several minutes, leading you to think something is wrong, but it's not.
Pros:Very small and very portable. Comment:
Bought this to create a wifi hotspot in my office so my Galaxy Note 2 wouldn't eat through so much of my monthly data.Got it set up properly after a few hiccups. To anyone needing it for a similar application I would very much reccomend this - but you do need a laptop or netbook to set it up, no matter how new and fancy your phone or tablet is! |

TRENDnet TEW-654TR Wireless Travel Router Kit
Cons:none
Pros:small sizeeasy to setupvery nice it can be powered by usb Comment:
i bought this to solve some specific issues:in office my s3 can only last half day due to LTE draining the battery fast, so i plug this thing in, set my s3 to use wifi, problem resolvedalso this can share network via wifi. |
Very easy initial setup - plug into network port, switch to AP mode (ignored the instructions), press set up button, and it's ready to use. The login to the config website was baffling - no login button displayed. A quick google and discovered that I needed to use FireFox instead of IE or Chrome. Upgraded the firmware and the problem went away. Nice strong signal, almost as good as my linksys. Config screen is easy to use and has all of the features I need.
