My Linksys USB ethernet that I used for my TIVO. Its design was not good for the TIVO. I purchased this to replacement. Its design is much better for this application. I am satisfied! |

What can I say....it works!!

Plug n'Play on an ancient IBM laptop running Windows XP. It allows me to access wired ethernet. I already had a Wi-Fi PCMCIA card so am now assured of connectivity most anywhere I go. Never had to use the included CD. |

Functional but a slow performer

I bought this as an upgrade for an older 10 mbps adapter, I quickly found that it was actually SLOWER. After a very long troubleshooting session with tech support, I was advised to return this item (a USB 1.0), and upgrade to the USB 2.0 version, this worked. I would recommend this product for anyone seeking an economical alternative to a more costly adapter. |

Absolutely the best for the $$

Works great and easy to use. I "rebuild" (wipe and reload OS) many computers. When the installed NIC is not recognized initially, this device allows me to quickly get the system onto the network and download additional drivers. |

Works great. No hassles.

Very simple operation. Plug in adaptor to USB port, insert ethernet cable. Done! No driver install necessary. Can't get any simplier. |

I was having a problem with my computer finding my router After working on that for 2 days I thought i would try this adapter after checking Ethernet cards on the site. I wasn't sure if that was my problem but after installing it in less than 5 minutes I was very surprised to get right on the Internet. I paid $19.00 for it though. |

I bought this USB adapter as a quick (and cheap) replacement for the dead network card in my old Dell Dimension 8200 desktop computer (with Win XP SP3). Installation was easy (plug and play) and the adapter is working with no problems. |

i bought the linksys usb nic from the tivo website over a year ago and like all the other reviewers said on this site, it was really a piece of junk. the linksys plastic door snapped in half and the cable never did rest tight enough. linksys said no returns because the casing broke. really made me furious. i bought this instead to hook up tivo to broadband months ago and it works great. i don't have a home network so just plug my ethernet from the wall into the adapter attached to one of the tivo usb ports and no problems at all. now i've dropped my home landline phone and save $20 per month to get tivo programming updates. it works great with tivo series2. |

Setup was quick and easy. Got my secondary computer going online right away. Looking forward to setting up my network. Just note that it is USB 1.1, not USB 2.0, if you need that. |

Hav a Toshiba Satellited and the plastic divider between the RJ11 and RJ45 jack broke causing the ethernet cable to keep slipping out. Cant fix since part of the chasis. This is a great and cheap alternative and XPsp2 detected it fast with nothing else needed. |

Works in Linux! I did not have a whole lot of faith that this would work in one of my Linux machines, but I was pleasantly surprised. I have Ubuntu 6.10 running on a small form factor Gateway that has no way to install a ''normal'' NIC, so that's why I bought this. And it works great. I wish dearly it was USB 2.0, but oh well. |

This baby works great!! Used it to make sure the on-board nic was the problem. This adapter is easy to set up and use. I'm trying to get our IT dept. to buy several of these for our techs. |
