Cons:-Little pins to screw it, the same kind of "nut" that are on DVI and VGA female port are on the Serial end of the cable.-The cable is like 3 inch long.

This is a simple, light and easy to carry usb to RS232 converter. Perfect for using with console cables. It doesn't have any extra features that might be useful for other purposes, but it provides everything that's needed to simply replace a missing serial port on a machine |
Work well the only bad thing is the nuts on the serial end. I had to break them to plug the serial part of the cable.1 hour after getting the cable he was looking like over used because of the nuts I ripped off the cable. With a price match the value/price is still good. The lenght of the cable is an issue if you want to connect to another pc or equipment that is not extremely close. You will probably need a usb extension. I use it to connect to a DE-1 development board from Altera. Would not buy again, would buy a longer cable.
