I carry a HP zd8200 17'' notebook, a ''desktop replacement'' with a full-blown P4 processor. That, the power ''brick'' (It's that big, a 180-watt behemoth) extension cord, digital camera, water bottle, books, clothes enough for a weekend, various cables, a couple of 2.5'' external hard disks, overnight kit, etc. etc. all fit in this bag. It swallow up everything I need, as if it's bottomless - with room to spare. Even after all this time and the weight I carry in it (Got to be over 30 lbs) one of the shoulder straps is just starting to show some signs of wear where it attaches, but it is still as strong as ever. I use this backpack at least 4 days a week, it is without a doubt one of the finest products I've ever purchased. You will not be disappointed if you buy one of these!

This pack has enough space to handle my daily routine and spares plenty of space to handle my after hours routine as well (gym gear included). I've tried them all and found this one to be TOP NOTCH!

I had mine less than 3 months & carried only a 15'' laptop, power adapter, CAnon S3IS camera, spare batteries for that, and a small pack of other accessories weighing just over 2 lb (I weighed it), and the shoulder starp is already coming away from the main pack. I won't be using Targus again.....It is comfortable, though!

I usually have between 3-4 college text books along with my laptop and this backpack distributes the weight well. I can wear this for long periods of time and it doesn't dig into your shoulders.

This backpack protected my notebook (the one I'm writeing this on) and all my accessories over several thousand miles of convoys on some of the worst roads imaginable. The other thing I like about it is that it DOSEN'T scream ''LAPTOP INSIDE, PLEASE STEAL ME. I still have the old warrior and it protects my laptop to this day.

My only issues are from using another pack; 1) As a student, I would have preferred 3 vertical slots for writing utensils, not 2 horizontal loops. 2) The pocket with the emblem (+ everything in front of it) is attached w/clips to the pack, and open on top+sides. See image. While it's convenient for the mesh pockets inside, and the top straps can be tightened, it's exposed to the elements. Notes: Headphone hole is round cross-slitted rubber under emblem. Zippers pull canvas lips over teeth for a clean double seal. What you can't see in the picture: 2 pockets on other side + hiddens. Very pleased with this pack.

My 17'' laptop fits great--I can actually get two laptops in it, plus all my school stuff. Amazing! The padded straps are comfortable, and having the cell phone pouch on the outside, plus another pouch in which I put my keys, makes accessing the important stuff real easy. A definite smart buy!

Targus TXL617 Notebook BackpackThis thing is insane. Its sooo big you can't even understand but looking at the picture. I put a full size 5 star binder in the section with the laptop. Then in the middle section I put to big as in 600 page A4 sized textbooks, with a 5 star coiled 3 course notebook and a clipboard with a pad. that only filled the bottom of this section it could still fit a couple 64 cd cd/dvd books you know the ones that have 2 cd per page and the cs are stacked 2 high. Yeah it coud take 2 of those no problem. Then theres the front compartment lunch, or should I say feast. Its totally stupid how much crap you can fit in this thing. Oh yeah then there's the fold down panel that is a handy place to put all you laptop cables, the mesh folders will keep them in place making them easy to take out and put away. and then to top it off theres this spot thats made for an ipod or a cd player. I had to shorten this up I'm running out of room and I could still tell you more about this bag .....
