Negatives:- Tight band, and cheap padding make for an earache-inducing, sweaty experience.- Sound quality is average at best, harsh highs, flat mids.- Tray panel software pulls 100% CPU, freezing computer until hard reboot (w7-64)- Heavy cable is nice for durability, but bad for flexibility, like having a cat hanging off your mic cord.Not impressed, especially after reading all these positive reviews. Simply going to have to man up and get the PC350's.PC161SK's are excellent if you can find a set.

This was probably the best headset I've ever used for under $100. It not only had great sound with both media and games, it has the most clear microphone I've seen on a headset. The volume controls are lovely and switching between USB and STD allows you to easily switch from headset to speakers without turning anything on or off just by flicking the switch at your fingertips. Only problem I had was that it began to fall apart after a month or so, a crack here and there grew until I finally had to duct tape one side of it to be remotely comfortable. Also the mic became sensitive to being moved a certain way and didn't work if pressure was put on it. A great headset if you don't move around a lot...And don't sleep with them on like I did.

If you're considering buying these don't bother since the only thing that these things offer are flashy lights and a fancy look. These things stopped working within the first month that I bought them. The worst feature about these is the mic mute button which gets stuck quite often, leaving your mic muted until you can unstick the button...why any device needs a mic mute button is beyond me but I guess they were determined to make something that was poorly designed. The virtual sound is terrible and you can barely distinguish front from back. I would suggest buying a pair of Zalman or Sens. Even though they're a little pricier you are getting EXACTLY what you pay for with these pieces of garbage.

I bought these with the initial thought that I won't have to disconnect/reconnect my zalman 5.1 headphones in and out everytime as they use 3 x 3.5mm jacks. With these headphones plugged in the usb, all thats needed is to hit the switch on the provided clip on from "usb" to "standard" and vista automatically switches the default audio device to the one that was selected previously. Switching back to "usb" vista will automatically make these headphones the default sound device. This is great as you no longer have to connect/disconnect jacks or go in to the vista sound control panel and set the default device yourself! For this feature alone, I'd say these headphones are worth it! From practical use, these headphones, surprisingly, add a lot to the gaming experience. (In games like silent hill your heartbeat makes the headphones give off a pulsating vibration). If they made a wireless version of these for console games, it would be a big hit. Its completely not what I thought it would be. When I bought them I was sure it was just a gimmick and that the vibration would possibly damage your hearing. But its not like that at all. Coming from my Zalman 5.1 surround sound headphones which were probably an 8 out of 10, these are definetly a 9.5 out of 10. These headphones only lose points because the leather cushion on the earcups makes your ears sweat a little after constant use for long hours.

I found the virtual 7.1 not accurately enough for me. I had trouble with sounds behind me and infront of me. Other than that it works well with the vibration and all.

Bought these headphones for use with Flight Simulator 2004. By keeping the rumbling dial turned down to around 3-4, the headphones give a nice effect when the plane is on the taxiing or on the runway. Gives a whole new dimension to gaming.The only real issue I have is that you have to keep the rumbling down to a minimum because if you turn it up to high, it can be annoying on the ears and cause some distortion with the sound.

All in all it is one hell of a good headphone for the price, i was gonna buy the Razer HP1 but bought this one instead. i must say i am impressed with it and the virtual 7.1 sounds.
