Thermalright HR-01 Plus 6 Heatpipe Cooler LGA775 AM2 CPU Heatsink *Fan Not Included*
Cons:quite expensive
Pros:high cooling capabilities Comment:
It's at the top of the best coolers. If you want to squeeze in that 1 or 2 degrees Celcius, then this is the model. It doesn't provide as good as value as those Xigmatek models but it does a good job of stroking your geek ego knowing that you have the (almost) best of the best. |

Thermalright HR-01 Plus 6 Heatpipe Cooler LGA775 AM2 CPU Heatsink *Fan Not Included*
Cons:$$$May not fit in all caseshand damage (see summary)Fan is tricky to fit in a small case
Pros:Doesn't break if u drop itDoes a very good job of keeping the cpu cool Comment:
i'm a dedicated fan of silentpceview and this was put on the top of the list and all the other reviews said it was great. i'm here to add to how great it is but i also have to point out some things not so great. The edges on this heatsink are pretty rough. i scratched my hand on it a lot of times. they could have rounded the edges a bit more...It's also monstrously big. If this was was like 1 cm longer it would not fit in my p182.I had a little trouble installing the fan on this. the two little metal hooks are use to hold the fan in place. they fell out after i installed it. and i tried to install the heatsink with the fan preplaced but i couldn't cuz access to the last nail used to attach the bridge to the motherboard was blocked by the fan. it's also a good idea to install the fan a bit lower cuz u don't want it to hit the case.after installing it i found out for myself how great this product is. i have it with an undervolted noctua p12 and it's dead silent and still remains cool. |

Thermalright HR-01 Plus 6 Heatpipe Cooler LGA775 AM2 CPU Heatsink *Fan Not Included*
Cons:- Takes more time to install than a typical heatsink
Pros:+ Great cooling performance+ Good price Comment:
The HR-01 Plus performs almost as good as the legendary Ultra-120 Extreme, but with a smaller footprint and a better price. Used with a 120mm fan, the temperature of a Core 2 Duo E8400 lowered from 75c to 48c, compared with the stock heatsink. |

Thermalright HR-01 Plus 6 Heatpipe Cooler LGA775 AM2 CPU Heatsink *Fan Not Included*
Cons:none
Pros:Cool very well the CPU. Make a quiet PC with a good fan. Comment:
This a very good product. It doesn't look cheap at all. Installing it is not very complicated but it's always a PITA to remove and reinstall the motherboard. It's not as heavy as it looks but isn't lightweight either. Will buy again! |

Thermalright HR-01 Plus 6 Heatpipe Cooler LGA775 AM2 CPU Heatsink *Fan Not Included*
Cons:It's easy to install if your motherboard is not install yet, if not you have to pull it out from your case, other then that nothing special, it's easy
Pros:Really efficient HS, easy to install, it come with mounting back-plate (BOLT-THRU kit) for INTEL or AMD socket. And the mounting plate now allow little moves with the heat-sink for an even more install options. Comment:
Making the best a tad bettre, i had an HR-01 (not the PLUS) and i was impress with is performance, with this one i gain 2 or 3 deg.C over the previous one, so the 2 added heat-pipe do little on performance but on the other side this one come with the BOLT-THRU kit, so do the maths if you are buying the original design and add the BOLT-THRU kit you'll end-up choosing this one. Don't forget to take the air duct to pull out the heat directly out side your case. It fit like a charme in an ANTEC P182 and with ASUS P5K Premium + E6850 This review was modfied by poster @ 09-30-07 08:17 AM |
A bit pricey, but it is worth the price if you require silence. I'm using this on a Core i7 920 with a nexus fan. While in case this fan combination is fantastic. CPU maxes at 63 degrees. Would recommend higher rpm fan for those who can tolerate more noise for optimal cooling
