Thermalright LGA1156 BOLT-THRU Kit REV.B for All LGA1156 Motherboards Ultra Series MUX-120
Cons:Not pressure adjustable like the Venemous X. Big deal!
Pros:Way freaken better than the first 1156 bracket. Works on TRUE BLACK. As long as you have a dimple on the part where the original X bracket goes, it is good. Comment:
After getting sucker punched on the original 1156 X brace and breaking a memory dimm (P55 design flaw on most boards due to the bracing being too close to the memory dimm) This bracket fixes that issue. Allows even pressure running parralel to the memory dimm instead of a twisted pressure like the X bracket. (Dont confuse X bracket with the Venemous X, X is just the shape lol) |
Allowed me to mount the MUX120 to an Asus Sabertooth P67 (LGA1155). No problems, but of course as with similar coolers, there's basically no clearance for any RAM cooler on the closest DIMM slot, so I will contemplate water cooling in the future if I want to expand my RAM.
