Thermalright Venomous X 6 HeatPipes CPU Cooler LGA1366 1156 775 *Fan Not Included*
Cons: Kinda big, make sure you have enough room.

Pros: Nice looking cooler also very good to cooling my CPU.
Comment:
I got this cooler to cool my OCed Intel Q6600 before it runs nice cool and quiet, now I have it to cool my AMD x6 and the AMD mounting kit maybe a little harder to install than the Intel ones but still pretty easy and also cools well on the AMD CPU. Just make sure you have enough room to install the cooler as it's pretty big in size.

Thermalright Venomous X 6 HeatPipes CPU Cooler LGA1366 1156 775 *Fan Not Included*
Cons: None

Pros: Cools well, not as large as some of the other top heatsinks, bracket seems secure.
Comment:
Upgraded to a 1156 platform, was reading about coolers and this one was mentioned as one of the top coolers almost every time. Price was good, even without a fan. Got a Scythe S-Flex 1900 to go with it and the performance is great. 70 Deg C at 4.2GHz on prime95. Let me get up to 4.3 but I don't want to run that high/hot for a 24/7 clock.Playing games yesterday only one core broke 50 deg, very nice cooler. Fit into my Antec case no problem.

Thermalright Venomous X 6 HeatPipes CPU Cooler LGA1366 1156 775 *Fan Not Included*
Cons: the heat sink was too big to put a side fan on my computer, so i had to improvise and put the side fan on the outside. make sure that the size of this thing does not interfere with a side fan if you have one.

Pros: great heatsink. is pretty cool even after extended use of cpu utilizing all cores. i've allways been pleased with thermalright's products. installation was a bit tricky because you have to mount screws to the bottom of the motherboard, but other than that it does what it is meant to.
Comment:
great product. does what it is meant to. gave enough paste for one application, but its all good. huge and airflow throughout the heatsink is very good.

Thermalright Venomous X 6 HeatPipes CPU Cooler LGA1366 1156 775 *Fan Not Included*
Cons: -doesn't come with fans-installation can be really annoying

Pros: -Craftsmanship- the new supposed pressure system.. if it works.
Comment:
It definitely is a solid product, heavy too. Take your time installing it. It does a good job though I'm not too impressed with the performance, it's giving me basically the same temps as my previous cooler (Cm hyper 212+) on both idle and load... Will try to replace thermal paste or something.. damn 1156 cpu's. Intel made them so freaking small (compared to 1366) that the cpu heatsink is much smaller than the base of the heatsink cooler.

Cons:Moves a bit when installed

Pros:Small unlike NoctuaGreat to overclock your cpu and keep it cool
Comment:
Great looking heatsink, also has a good size and does the same job as a Noctua heatsink 10times bigger.

Thermalright Venomous X 6 HeatPipes CPU Cooler LGA1366 1156 775 *Fan Not Included*
Cons:Mine came with a broken part?Size if you have a small caseQuite expensive

Pros:Easy & solid installationExcellent performanceCan use 2x120 fans
Comment:
This is officially the replacement for the Ultra-120 Extreme which was the previous "king of the hill" from Thermalright. This time they have a much better mounting system, which is quick, easy and let you apply between 40 and 70 lbs of pressure. The base of the heatsink is SPOTLESS, I had never seen such a mirror finish! Size is not an issue in my Full Tower. I set this up with 2x Gelid 120 Silent PWM fans which keep the thing cool & quiet and MX-2 thermal paste. I read on some reviews that the backplate was not insulated, it's true but I don't think it touched anything on the mobo. To be sure I covered most of the exposed metal on the plate with electrical tape.My Venomous-X came with a broken part, more specifically one of the screws had it's thread off-center. I couldn't finish the installation because of that... fear not, I explained in detail which part it was and NCIX sent me 2 replacement screws with express shipping, I got it the next morning! So definitly KUDOS to the NCIX Team. I also had contacted Thermalright directly 2 days before NCIX and I'm still waiting for their package to arrive... So basically one star less for this.As for the temps, they truly are excellent, espcially compared with the stock i5-750 cooler which I resorted to use while I couldn't use the Venomous-X. My current temps hover between 25° (idle with speedstep active) and 60° (2 cores turbo boosted to 3.8 GHz or 4 cores q 3.37 GHz). To compare with the stock cooler on stock speeds, I had temps between 40° and 65°. So definitly an improvement here!

Thermalright Venomous X 6 HeatPipes CPU Cooler LGA1366 1156 775 *Fan Not Included*
Cons:- Less than easy install- Does not come with fans- Price, but you get what you pay for

Pros:- Performance- Pressure mod- Nice looks

I went from a Noctua U12P SE to this heatsink and wow what an improvement. Went from 88C to 75 on an i7 920 i 4Ghz (1.4V).I used IC7 TIM along with 2 Scythe GT's. The installation was not as easy as the Noctua, but you'll survive. If you want the best performance and are willing to pay for it, get the Venomous X.Also, this heatisnk ahs let me reach 4.2 Ghz at 1.368V maxing at 78C under Prime 95

Thermalright Venomous X 6 HeatPipes CPU Cooler LGA1366 1156 775 *Fan Not Included*
Cons:No fans included?!

Pros:Fantastic air-cooling powerReputable brandSuccessor to the Ultra 120Easier mounting option than the 120
Comment:
This heatsink is on par with the Ultra 120 which it succeeded. Probably about 1 to 2 deg. lower than the Ultra 120 according to my experience with this on my i7 120 (4Ghz 1.264V). After 1 hour of Prime95 my load temps were 69 67 69 66. At idle it is 37 33 38 35. Ambient temp is at 22 deg. I'm using 2x120mm Noctua fans; btw, the fan mounting clips on this are quite easy to use. The heatsink does twist slightly but it does not seem to affect the performance. All in all, this heatsink is fantastic in my opinion. It may not be worth upgrading from an Ultra 120 or the Noctua NH-D14 but if you need a new heatsink with your new build, I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend this. Thermalright Venomous X 6 HeatPipes CPU Cooler LGA1366 1156 775 *Fan Not Included*
Cons:Even with improved mounting system, my sink still didn't mount that tight,

Pros:Easy to mount, nice finish, good fan clips.
Comment:
Needed another heatsink, and I have always been pleased with the Thermalright heatsinks. I had a Thermalright Black edition installed on my i7 920, so for the heck of if I switched it out for a comparison, since I need one for my Q9550 as well. Well, wasn't any better, but not any worse either. If you already have an Ultra 120, or a black, etc, I don't think its worth the change.
