Well when i bought this cooling fan i bought my MOBO and cpu too...and well my Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition NVIDIA Socket AM2 ATX Motherboard comes with a cooling device around the cpu and when i went to install this cooling fan i found out that because of the size of this fan/heatsink the cooling fan that the asus mobo came with wasn't gonna fit....and i had trouble locking in the cpu fan becasue i was scared of putting to much preasure....the thermal gel can get annoying with repositioning the cpu fan and well i guess im screwed both ways and gotta get a smaller cpu fan....i guess for the value its a good fan i guess i gotta wait till i boot my new custom comp to figure out what happens....other then that a good buy

Great value. Keeps my AMD 3800+ plenty cool. It's also pretty quiet, particularly considering the price. I would buy this one again in a heartbeat.

Completely Silent, and lot bigger then I thought. On an x2 3800+ stock, temp were 30c idle, 35c load. Overclocked to 2.7 idle 34c and load 39c. Perfectly fine for the money and easy installation.

Great fan cool and quiet. I have this on a Sempron 3400 throttled down using AMD Cool and Quiet, as an experiment I unplugged the fan, running 20% load on the CPU which is all I normally use for any length of time, temperature 52c. I don't recommend unplugging the fan, at full speed its really quiet but with speed control you won't hear it. Highly recommended.

The fan is a good buy because it has keep the computers core temperature in the 80's to 90's. This is a good buy for 12.99 if you have a 754/939 AMD Socket.

im doing a new build on a 939 with a athlon 64 x2 3800 for a friend and the price of this is great, it's thremaltake so i figured it'd be decent even if it's cheap. it should keep the processor at some nice temps and i dont think there'll be any overclocking done. good price, good brand, nice thin fins on the heatsink, fan has nice design. I wish it would have come with and extra tiny tube of thermal paste, i hate getting that preapplied stuff, maybe if it was preapplied arctic silver i'd be ok lol.

Great fan for a 754 or low end 939, but it just doesn't have the power to cool am2 processors. I've put it on four am2 processors and three of them were insufficiently cooled.

Extremely quiet! This fan is excellent. Keeps my Dual Core Amd 4400 X2 at around 40 Celcius. Max RPM is like 1300 but it runs around 800 RPM. My old fan ran at like 4000 RPM and couldn't keep the chip that cold and it was an amd 64 bit 3500. It's bigger than my old fan but still fits snug and runs amazingly. I'm really impressed by it's design and the fact that it's so quiet.
