This is a great cooler, it keeps my Q6600 below 20*, usually 19* while surfin net, and doing low end stuff. Once I get to the games im lookin about 25-30* celcius. Never over, it's great. Stock cooler temps were 28* idle and 35-40* load. It also cools my motherboard a few more degrees and keeps ram cooler, and does not interfere with the ram slots. Hope this helps

My Prescott 3.2GHz was running 50C idle and about 85C load with the stock intel cooler and thermal paste I had before. Now it runs at 30C idle and 42C load, which is pretty unbelievable if you ask me. Mind you I did upgrade the thermal paste to the MX-2 from the stock stuff, so that definitely helped too. Anyways, it's an awesome heatsink, cools the processor awesomely and if you need more cooling on your mobo this helps more than anything else. Would definitely buy again if I needed another one. well this is my first custom hsf i have ever bought (i went from stock to water cooling to building a sff rig becasue water cooling was to heavy!!)...so far so good..this thing is great ...great temperatures...sound isnt to bad....my wcing was louder with my vacuum cleaner like fans on my radiator:P

I Probably didn’t need this, SUBMEAN TRANSFORMER has enough fans already. But why take any chances… That and i have a hole blue LED thing goin' on =-)

I love it. It's a beautifully engineered piece of very functional hardware. The led's aren't gaudy, it cools really well, and it took longer to remove my stock cooler than to install this one. I feel like a little girl in spring!

I purchased this heatsink for use on an overclocked Pentium D 'Smithfield' processor, which is in essence two Prescott cores stuck together. Needless to say, they get as hot as a pistol. The temperatures I get in a CM Stacker case are 38°C idle, 42°C browsing/apps, 52°C heavy gaming and 60°C with a 100% load extended burn. Needless to say, I am very pleased with these temps.The Blue Orb took less than 5 minutes to install, with the mounting brackets already in place. I have heard some reviewers say that alot of pressure is required to mount the unit. This is simply not true. All one needs to do, is start with 5 revolutions of the screw on one side and then alternate to five on the other screw and back again until fully tightened. This is the same procedure as used for the Zalman CNPS7000-Cu.I have always used Zalmans in the past, but this unit seems to out perform them, all the while looking great doing it.

Alright, so I tested one of these a bit ago. Let me just say that it did VERY well. I knew Thermaltake was lying through their teeth about the noise specs (as usual), but I didn't expect the CFM to be accurate either; I was wrong.It's loud as hell at full speed, but it pulls in a lot of air. It pretty much maintained itself against the Scythe Ninja while costing less. However, the difference between the Scythe Ninja and this, is that the Ninja is MUCH quieter, especially with an alternative 120mm fan instead of the default.You can also turn off the fan on this heatsink, running it completely silent. It does quite well, but just make sure you have a nice and quiet fan in the back of your case to pull out the hot air. Fanless mode should only be used with low-power/low-heat processors.Alternatively, you can drop it down to 7V and have it much quieter, and it still does very well.3.5/5

overall great product got this on ebay a few weeks ago and this thing rocks very quite and the blue led kicks !!!!!
