Thermaltake Max5G 3.5 SATA to USB 3.0 HD Encl-BK
Cons:The plastic support doesn't hold the enclosure so solidly as those who are made in metal.
Pros:The two fans really keep the disk from overheating, great looking (blue fans). Comment:
It works great for my Western Digital Black 2TB (WD2001FASS). When I installed it in a non-ventilated aluminium enclosure, the drive temperature went straight up to 50°C and was still increasing before I unplugged it. This enclosure is keeping my drive between 26°C and 33°C wich is much better temperature operation. This review was modfied by poster @ 10-08-12 04:50 PM |

Thermaltake Max5G 3.5 SATA to USB 3.0 HD Encl-BK
Cons:none
Pros:well built, should last a long time. Comment:
This unit has been on for 5 days straight with a Seagate 2TB hard drive installed. It has kept cool due to the fans. I have owned external hard drives by 2 well-known companies that did not last because they eventually overheated. |
I have this with a WD Red 2TB. Works perfectly and USB3, finally, have a full speed transfert rate.
