Outstanding build to this product. Genuinely like the aluminum casing and the drive cradles.two 40mm fans I'm positive are over kill for the cool 6 laptop drives i have installed but at least there is piece of thoughts that there is active cooling.strong materialLED indicators on/off switch6 regular sata ports1 4pin molex connector nothing at all really other then possibly possessing a decision amongst 4pin molex power or sata energy.

Applied this to replace and consolidate a 4x 2.five and a 2x 2.5 enclosure I had. Drives run cool, and are satisfied in this case.It works just as you would expect and hope None- except for the gaudy Tt Stickers on it... I pealed these off and put drive numbers in their location so I could ID which drive is which channel on my RAID controller. Fairly positive 6x is the max everyone is going to fit into a five.25" bay... there's not a mm more space for something.

functions as expected. Clean fit. Latching mechanism a bit clumsy, manual is not clear. FAN is loud! Wonder if this unit is over engineered in terms of cooling . no way to turn down fan for much more very operation. Suspect this unit is OEM'ed by iStarUSA for Thermaltake. Because there is no active controller on this device you are essentially hunting at a straight by means of back plane which for all intents can be treated as a SATA cable seriously.. what this suggests is that it will help sata III Ɩgbps) !!! Why? Simply because the sata three spec incredibly deliberately tends to make use of the same cabling requiring no particular or upgraded cables or interfaces. So... again not seriously some thing Incorrect with the product just a purchaser education issue.

Slick device, lots of drives, does what it says Legacy 4-pin connector (really? why not SATA?); smaller screws to secure device do not fit my mountain mods rack, but it fits firm adequate to not matter. Making use of longer screws implies you cant remove the drives... boo...

Holds SIX disks. Others only hold 4. Max drive height is 9.5mm and most disks are bigger. The only 1TB, two.five" disks I've identified that are 9.5mm and under 贄 are "refurbished". Four bay enclosures hold up to 15mm disks.
