Thermaltake SpinQ Heat Sink & Fan
Comment:
I purchased this CPU Cooler to OC my Intel 9550. Fan has a veriable control for the fan speed. Normal temp is 27-31. Fan is very quiet. Look good in a case. No problems installing this cooler on my ASUS MB. I am very satisfied. |

i bought this for my AMD Phenom X4 9950 and it brought the temp down 20 degrees from what it was at with the stock fan that came with it. my only problom is that it is a very tight fit. and if your puting it on an am2/am2+ its easy to install it took me about a 2minuits to install it |

All in all this is a good CPU cooler but the trouble I had to go through to get it installed guarantees that I will never by another. The clips that are used to mount it to a 775 MOBO (mine was the EVGA 790i) are flimsy and extremely hard to secure. When moving my rig from one place to another you have to be very careful that you won't pop one loose. Then its even more trouble to get it back in. Gets a 4 for performance because it keeps my Q6600 cool under stress but the mounts are the only reason I don't like it. The AMD brackets might be another story but Intel fans stay away from it. |
I Purchased this for the i7 920, Had no problems installing it, although I did cut myself (the fins are sharp!) I wasn't crazy impressed with the performance. The i7 stock fan was horrible, idled @ 40c, The base didn't even cover the entire cpu. This heatsink idled around 34c. at 100% hard load, my 30min stress test brought it up to 64c, with no overclocking. which I wasn't too thrilled about. It looks killer in my Thermaltake Tsunami Case! Overall, its a good buy, and a definite upgrade from stock heatsinks. I will update this review after a few more days of tweaking.
