BIG
Comment:
Had to return it. Primarily because it's HUGE. Make sure you know your Case size specs. I had it in a server tower and it still stuck out too far. Would have been nice if I could use it. |

good fan for price...
Comment:
good fan, probably better for people using intel the bracket for amd is not that good for the size fan this is, when it's running full speed it does wobble a bit but overall not too bad |

Solved my overheating
Comment:
I've finally solved the ongoing overheating problem with my custom socket 940 rig. Origionally built with an Athlon 64 FX 51 in July 2004, it has had a perpetual overheating problem even with a high performance HSF installed. With the TMG 1A installed the cpu runs a full 5C cooler than with the old HSF. The addition of a 140 mm case fan dropped the temp another 3C, In an extended test the cpu never got over 41C at 100% load. Problem Solved. Awesome My only disappointment is that I had to look elsewhere to find a replacement HSF retention bracket as the origional had been removed to install the other High Performance HSF. |

nice

I have to say--- for the money this thing is outstanding. Cools realy well and looks great. Only downfall is the 3 pin fan plug so no auto fan adjust. |

Looks awesome, but....
Comment:
.. I couldn't install it with the RAM heatsinks in the way on my Gigabyte MB. But the CPU fan looks very impressive. I wish I could have used it. I'm giving the Performance a 3 stars. But I'm sure it works great. |

Excellent Value - Good Performance
Comment:
I purchased this air cooler to replace a Freezone Elite unit (by Coolit) whose pump had failed. I wanted something quieter than the fan that came with that unit, that wouldn't require mb removal (as I had to do that when taking out the Freezone and didn't want to do it again so soon), and that would perform well. The clear fan with the blue led was a plus, too. In short, the unit was relatively easy to install. The V-shape is easier to deal with than some of the humongous square towers in terms of getting your fingers onto the push pins. The finish on the block is very smooth and mirror-like. It seems secure and the performance is excellent, within a few degrees of the Freezone, on a Q6600 oc'd to 3.0 GHZ using Arctic paste. It is quieter than the aforementioned Freezone and looks pretty good (although I miss my coolant-filled hose contraption!) If you see the TMG 1A on sale, and you like the chrome with blue led look, don't hesitate. |

Thermaltake TMG IA1 Heatpipe CPU Cooler LGA775 AM2 S939 S754 W/ 120MM Blue LED Fan 2100RPM 70.28CFM
Comment:
Excellent fan, I rate it a 5, it only has some case issues. Seems a bit heavy and has the tiniest of wobble, even being safely snug on the board. Two, it being mounted in the Thermaltake Armor II MX+ case, its within cm of touching the side fan. Three, cannot hook up numerous connections with it in first, even though instruction from the mobo and thermaltake manufacturers say put it on first. And last, you have to wear gloves with this fan. It will cut your hands up. The fins are razour sharp. |
got this when i upgraded my pc a few years back i recommend it.
