Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:None yet
Pros:Price, Functionality Comment:
Great price! My first Thermaltake purchase, but from what I hear it should fill the bill for my budget i5-4430 build. Right now i'm using an old 4pin 12V atx ps to power it. I needed something inexpensive and fully expect that this will suit the bill. |

Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:not bronze, only 72% eff
Pros:good price, got it on black friday for 18.99$ weeeee Comment:
good for bang for buck, if u're only using it for like 4 hours a day... it will take a very long time for a bronze 80+ to make up the pricing from energy efficiency (looking at 4+ years). good for budget builds |

Decent power supply for the price. It runs a bit hot when on load. Silent but not dead silent either. I would buy again for a cheap build. |

Cons:None so far.
Pros:Great price. Works well. Comment:
This is a decent little power supply. Works as expected and no apparent issues with it so far. I wouldn't use this for a gaming build but for your average build it should work quite fine. |

Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:- only the 24 pin has any kind of sleeving (but for price it's a minor issue)
Pros:- cheap- works Comment:
Great purchase for a budget build. Bought this for a cheap PSU on a friends new 6300/7870 build and works great. Going to custom sleeve it also. |

Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:None.
Pros:Easy installation, Looks good, Well built, Extra long cables. Comment:
For the price, this power supply is awesome. I installed it on a new I7 rig, and it powers everything without problem. The cables are very long -- not modular, which makes hiding them in the case very easy. Their mention of cable management might give some people the idea it's modular but it's not. |

Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:Cable management...? Not. False advertising at best, read on.
Pros:Affordable, 5 year warranty, and gets the job done...! Comment:
Bought this to power a build I made with my previous PC's core parts in another case. She's running a modest 35$ GTX 620 graphics card so she doesn't need as much power as I do. I bought this thinking that the cables would be mesh-wrapped and all, and also...modular. Not. Only the 24V cable is mesh-wrapped, the others are all loose (but individual rails are tie-wrapped at least). This is like they used to do it in pre-2000 PSUs... The only "management" feature is an extension for the 8pin cable...Seems to do the job, hope we won't run into any issues. Alas, 5 year warranty is nice to have. |

Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:loud fan, defective, loads more
Pros:cheap, for 500w its a reasonable purchase Comment:
don't get those cheap psu if you are looking for stability, try to splash out for good ones, many people don;t care about psu but its one of the most important unit in a computer. But if you are not a gamer, this 500w psu is fairly of for those mid-range application user though it can still power a lot of mid range vga,cpu and mobo |

Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:Bad CablesGot very loud
Pros:Nice Looking Comment:
I'm not too sure where the "Cable Management Optimization" part comes in with this power supply, the cables are an absolute rats nest that aren't even sleeved. I've had it for two days and the fan is unbearably loud in my basic system that doesn't even have a graphics card. It works, but I'll be getting a different one for sure. Would not recommend at all, even for this price. |

Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:Fan is loud. (fan is defective)
Pros:it power my computer as it should Comment:
Fan is loud (mostly defective), it started making noise after 12 hours of use (it make the noise a fan normaly do after many years of use). I now have to replace the fan since it doesn't worth doing a RMA it will cost more in shipping then what the PSU cost. |

Pros:ReliableInexpensive, great for budget buildEnought power for most peoples Comment:
This PUS cost me only $17.99 with 20$ mail in rebate (American Express prepaid credit card). This PSU should be enougth to power most low end and mid range build and is covered by a 5 years warranty! |

Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:For bottom psu mount case, with psu fan venting into case, the psu info sticker will not be visible
Pros:works well, voltages stable Comment:
Also, in bottom psu mount case, bitfenix merc alpha, the exhaust fan edge of the psu is partially blocked by the case mounting. Reversed mounting so now the psu fan vents out the bottom of the case. Okay for hard surfaces with air space, not the best on carpet. |

Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:For $20, whats the problem?!
Pros:Good Brand5 Year WarrantyLong Cables Comment:
I've used Thermaltake Power Supplies for years and never had an issue. Customer service is good, great Warranty and clean power. This little PS I picked up for $20 after a rebated. Great for any lower end system. It has nice long cables so if you have a large case with the PS on the bottom, you wont have any issues connecting things up! |
Its an average power supply. dont expect seasonic quality or anything
