Thermaltake TR2 W0379RU 500W Power Supply
Cons:Tight fit in some cases.
Pros:It's quiet and reliable. Many connectors. Cheap Comment:
Bought this to replace a customer's power supply that started giving signs of failure (would not start unless powered down and up).I own a 430W TR2 unit in my computer and installed several other TR2 units in my customers computers without ever having to replace them over the 5 so years I used them. The TR2 line is one of the best quality to price ratio out there. Highly recommended. |

Thermaltake TR2 W0379RU 500W Power Supply
Cons:
non-modular
Pros: look (black) matches my case very well, performs well and energy efficient. Comment:
I bought this for very basic pc. I highly recommend this for very basic pc such as i3 or i5 600 series cpu pcs. It is running flawlessly and i think this is super reliable. Thermaltake put 120mm fan in there to reduce heat and noise. |

DOA
Comment:
Have used similar Thermaltake power supplies in the past with no issues. This one came dead on arrival. Replaced with another power supply from the rack and all was well, so issue is with the Thermaltake PS. Quality control is a big issue for me so I will not use, nor will I recommend them in the future. |

Poor quality
Comment:
This is obviously a lower end PSU so beware that you do get what you pay for. I had two PSU's one a 430w and this one by Thermaltake in two different computers. Both lasted not more than 5 mths and 8 mths. Not even coming close to being used at full capacity or stressed at all. The price is good if you want a cheaper PSU maybe for a computer that doesn't get constant use, but for one that you will have in use a lot like every day for a few hours a day, I would not recommend this brand. Other than that, sure it would be fine. |

Excellent product

This is my first time buying a add-in power supply and I'll admit I was nervous about all that wiring. I had second, third, and fourth thoughts about doing this and it all proved to be wasted effort. A little care and properly engage the brain and the unit installs with NO problems. Very quite running with such a large fan and is well built. I expect years of good service. |

Excellent Power Supply

Replaced supply that lost it's -5 power. This is much quieter and gets less warm than the original. Went in very easily and had all the connectors I needed. |

Its good and I'm happy to own it. Installation was no problemo. One thing I don't like is that its not modular and its a mission with all the different connectors this PSU comes in. If you have a mid tower ATX like me with a big Vid Card, Cpu fan, and other things that take up lots of space, this could take a while to connect. It looks like a mess too. It works well though. |

Excellent PSU for the $$$
Comment:
Replaced a cheap 300 Watt with this and what a difference. Can barely tell the computer is running and barely heats up at all under a full load. Great value!!! |

solid and quiet
Comment:
I was a little worried because this is on the lower-priced end of the pricing spectrum. But the power supply works great, and as mentioned by others has plenty of connectors and they're reasonable length to reach throughout my full tower case |

Great value, very quiet

I purchased this item about a month ago and so far it's been working great! Has way more IDE power adapters than I need, but appears to be a very good quality product - and it powers at least 5 SATA drives with no issues. I'm happy with it :-) |

Thermaltake is awesome
Comment:
I've never had a problem with thermaltake and will ALWAYS go with thermaltake when buying a PSU. Very quiet for the amount of air blowing through the fan. Incredible. The only problem is that the UPS guy leaves all my ordered things on my front door, as if we're living in a perfect world where nobody steals anything. He put my case on the step of my house, rang the doorbell and walked away.... |
Decent power supply with a good price. Had it for a year when one day it started making a bad burning smell. Customer support was great though and I sent mine back and a replacement was shipped a few days after receiving and testing mine. Not sure what the problem was but I am glad it happened when I was home to notice it. Just received the replacement today and it is new unit and not refurbished one.
