picked this up to be a backup HDD to save my games on to. picked it up for 80 on sale, not bad for the storage imo. havent had any problems yet so if it keeps that up, 80 bucks for 2gb is good enough for me

Specifications show 64MB buffer but title say 32MB Cache? Better clarify that...Google "Toshiba DT01ACA200" and find out it is 64MB. Sorry I forgot to verify this before install.One star off for confused information.

I got 2 and set them up in raid getting Read 365MB/sWrite 261MB/sMixed 221MB/sSo not bad at all. For the value it was a great deal. Especially if you hit a sale. I have had them for a couple months now without any issue, so we will see how they age.

I use this as an offsite backup drive, so it doesn't get a huge amount of use. That's because it's a toshiba, and I'm not so sure of their reputation for reliability -- I've had to replace quite a few failing at the 4 or 5 year mark. If buying a daily use drive I'd pick Hitachi or WD, but for an offsite backup, pick up one of these on sale and save some bucks.

Got this for $80 on sale a while back. Was the best price for a 2tb drive at the time. Not my first pick of hard drive - but it's a pretty good value at that price.. I would've loved a WD Black, but couldn't justify paying so much more for one.

I ordered one of these for my rig as HDD storage in January and it has been working flawlessly.Saw it on sale for $79.99 this week(July 28) and decided to get another one. You can never have too much space....Well, the second one arrived DOA. I was sold on Toshiba / Hitachi's reliability by the study I'd seen posted at The Tech Report here http://techreport.com/news/25940/hard-drive-reliability-study-names-namesToshiba owns Hitachi and the HDK line are the same Hitachi drives with Toshiba stamped on them so you are getting a reliable drive in the long term compared to Seagate and WD.So as long as the drive is not DOA, you are going to have a very reliable drive. It's unfortunate that I got a DOA drive but I'm sure the replacement will be a quality drive.Would give this 5 stars but am going to give it 3 due to the second being DOA.

Toshiba HDKPC09 2TB HDD is working o.k for me. price is fair. 2tb storage is good to add to my computer. this is a great hard drive for the money.

The Toshiba HDKPC09 2TB HDD is a great hard drive for the money and is fantastic for mass storage. While many people may argue saying that Toshiba hard drives are bad and of cheap quality, so far throughout my time with it, it has been performing great. It hasn't failed me at all and I haven't run into any problems with it, and I use it to store all my games. Overall, this is a great hard drive for the money and is quite fast.
