Toshiba HDKPC09 2TB SATA3 7200RPM 32MB Cache 3.5in Internal Hard Disk Drive HDD
Cons:died after about 6 months
Pros:fast when works Comment:
Bought this on 2012-10-24 from NCIX z 79.99, SMART error on 2013-04-10. While I was browsing the net on 2013-04-10, this window poped uphttp://i.imgur.com/vRQedYK.pngI checked SMART status and this showed about Reallocated Sector Count,http://i.imgur.com/3sdc5yA.pngThis is my first time having a HDD die so quickly after buying and I did not even use this HDD that much, it was mainly used as a storage device. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed, and I can't help but to think NCIX's shoddy packaging of HDDs has something to do with this drive dying so fast. |

Toshiba HDKPC09 2TB SATA3 7200RPM 32MB Cache 3.5in Internal Hard Disk Drive HDD
Cons:-None so far
Pros:-Unbeatable price:performance-Rebadged Hitachi drive-Initial benchmarks show good performance Comment:
The actual part # for this Toshiba HDD is DT01ACA200. On hard drives made around DEC-2012, it just shows that. On mine (purchased now in March 2013), it actually states HDS723020BLE640, Made in China by Hitachi Global, essentially, a rebadged Hitachi now that Toshiba bought over their business- which is great because these are solid drives (in terms of reliability)!Performance benchmarks are great as well- very good actually, using CrystalDiskMark: 192MBps/190MBps (R/W Seq), 62MBps/82MBps(R/W 512k) |

Toshiba HDKPC09 2TB SATA3 7200RPM 32MB Cache 3.5in Internal Hard Disk Drive HDD
Cons:None.
Pros:Inexpensive, 2tb of storage, runs quiet and was on sale for an excellent price. Comment:
Bought a few of these to populate a raid enclosure, running in raid-1 for now. Gets the job done, and are reasonably fast. The shorter warranty doesn't bother me, most of the hard drives I have owned have long outlived their warranties anyway.5/5 considering the price/capacity ratio when I bought a pair of these. |

Toshiba HDKPC09 2TB SATA3 7200RPM 32MB Cache 3.5in Internal Hard Disk Drive HDD
Cons:- Warranty can be a bit of a mess
Pros:- A steal at $85- Great performance- Low noise output Comment:
Compared to the WD Blacks this is a great deal. You are missing out on the longer warranty which is shame but the performance matches that of the Blacks for a fraction of the price. The warranty seems to be a bit of a mess however since Toshiba's website has nothing on it. |

Toshiba HDKPC09 2TB SATA3 7200RPM 32MB Cache 3.5in Internal Hard Disk Drive HDD
Cons:Rien à signaler pour le moment.
Pros:Bon manufacturier.Bonne capacité.Tourne à une température pas trop élevée.Bon prix lorsqu'à 85$ en solde. Comment:
J'ai acheté ce disque dur pour un stocker des gros fichiers multimédia. Le disque est silencieux et il tourne a une température assée basse (40-45°C) sans ventilation forcée. Un bon acchat. |

Toshiba HDKPC09 2TB SATA3 7200RPM 32MB Cache 3.5in Internal Hard Disk Drive HDD
Cons:None I can think of
Pros:SpaciousSingle 1TB platter Comment:
Bought this on a in store surprise sale for $89. Primarily this drive is inside of a Virt host. Great thing that this drive features is the single TB platter tech, which is much faster than the previous generation 2TB hard drives that doesn't have the same aerial density as this drive features. |

Toshiba HDKPC09 2TB SATA3 7200RPM 32MB Cache 3.5in Internal Hard Disk Drive HDD
Cons:None yet
Pros:FastQuietUSB 3.0 Comment:
I purchased this HDD when it was advertised for $89. So far, it performs fairly well. The speeds seem quite decent and much faster than my WD Green 2TB. After 3 weeks, no problems have been encountered and it looks like I'd buy it again. |
For the price I really can't complain. I normally only purchase WD Black drives and decided to take a risk on this based on reviews (maily used as drive for Steam games and all important data is backed up to an external WD drive). My only complaint is that once in a while I get a noticeable seek delay. Not sure if it's coming out of sleep or what (or that I'm just so used to my SSD that anything else seems slow), it's also usually Visual Studio that gets the hiccup. It's not just VS as I can hear the head move when it happens, so again it might have to do with my power settings and it sleeping. Also it doesn't happen every day (and I spend most days in VS).
