Didn't purchase it at NCIX but model specs seem to check out as the same. Bought it for a cheap price and the features were decent. However, I would expected a product to be more reliable as I would generally get contsant disconnects or router reboots for no apparent reason. A new firmware update might help but I would rather pay for a linksys or d-link router. |
After a few hours of using it and the switch disconnecting the network, I was nearly at the point of RMA. Before I RMA anything, I always update the firmware, do a fresh install, you know, the whole double check everything scenario.After the firmware update it seems to work fine. Just like any b/g wifi, unless you have a direct line of sight, your speeds go waaaaay down, even with excellent signal strength.I would never buy this if it was solely for networking purposes and had no ability to update the firmware..Updating the firmware was painless and easy.
