Works great!
Comment:
I bought this to use with a StarTech SATA to USB-eSATA-2Bay HD Dock and it worked exactly as I had hoped! Cables fit great, easy to install! Make sure you have 2 open SATA ports on your motherboard if you plan on using 2 eSATA connections. One thing I noticed with the HD Dock is that it is not hot-swappable in eSATA mode (which I assume is normal for this type of setup). I just have to make sure the HD dock in powered on before I boot up the PC. |

Not for Hot Swap
Comment:
Device is good qaulity and the 2 connectors can be moved of frame and used individually. Cons: It is not hotswappable, so attached device has to be connected and powered to be connected; also the connected device has to stay connected while machine is running or pc will begin to lock up, especially if attached device has a drive letter (the same as if hooked directly to sata port). Using with the Xion toaster, thruput was 1.5, not 3, even though specs on both said 3gb. Bios showed speed in cmos, even though the HD being tested ran at the full 3gb when directly connected. For thr price, handy to have, so no regrets |

Perfect

Just what you need for the sata toasters if you don't have any on your computer. Added this to the back and it is just like the hard drive is loaded inside the computer, nice upgrade from the usb connection. |

Does what I need
Comment:
Needed eSATA for a Linux box and was concerned about getting drivers for a PCI card. This bypasses that problem completely; Linux sees the drive as an internal HD. Now hotswapping backup drives with ease. |

Port
Comment:
I had to buy this sata port to replace the piece of crap that come with the Ultra sata external drive enclosure. The enclosure is great but the bracket that came with it was poor quality and although this bracket is an Ultra brand too, it is of much better quality that came with the enclosure. I would recommend this product. |

I bought it to bring an order up to qualify for free shipping. The product itself works as advertised. No complaints at all. |

Great little accessory
Comment:
As long as your motherboard supports eSata and you change your BIOS correctly then you won't go far wrong. |

Converts int. Sata to ext. eSata cheap & Easy
Comment:
If you have unused Sata connectors on your mother board, then this is the way to go. It's plug & Play for the install 7 use external eSata outlet. Plug & play my 1TB hard drive, worked right off bat. My ext. HD works a way faster than on USB, all most as fast as an int. HD. Have had NO problems at all. |

Does the job
Comment:
My only complaint is not with the adapter but Windows 7 OS which does not auto find the drive connected with this til you run a manual scan for new hardware, note this is with a pre-release beta version hopefully fixed in full release. This adapter is a great way to increase storage, and drive access. |

Works Well
Comment:
The product works as is expected and advertised. The only thing I don't like much about it is that after it's in the case, when you try to plug a eSata cable in, it bows slightly, then bowes back. Small annoyance, but nevertheless it's there. However, running eSata is so much better than USB 2.0, so I have no qualms or problems with the purchase. |
Installed easily and works fine.
