I really needed a low cost fax modem and this U.S. Robotics 56K fits the bill from a reputable company. It states on the Robotics site that it works with windows 7 without any additional drivers which is great, as I needed a modem that works with windows 7.

Comment: This modem runs faster than most and is a bargain, but be aware that the driver USR supplies is not Windows-certified and may cause problems on some systems. Worked very well on an Asus system running XP SP2, and was VERY problematic on an MSI system running XP SP3.
