Although it does the job it just happened. Miserable construction as the skirts on both ends came loose exposing the internal wiring. I would look for another brand

Despite what the description says about this cable it is an IDC Floppy Cable not an IDE Hard Drive Cable

Unfortunately, the floppy drive/card reader did not work. the cable was connected correctly (verified by the lights coming on checking each card reader) The floppy drive was not reading the disc, I switched the cable around to check if it was connected correctly. So I RMA'd the drive, and got a replacement.(hope this one works.....fingers crossed) I'm satisfied with the cable though, it's smaller (diameter) and looks neater in the case.

Have had a noticeable difference in cooling after replacing all of my cables (IDE and floppy) with round cables.

When the floppy cage is in the middle of a tower, and the floppy interface on the motherboard is at the bottom, then the 12 inch cable won't reach.

I always use these cables for greater air flow in my PC's, I don't know why anyone would use anything else.

Cable is a great alternative to standard ribbon. Dummy labels were cut off (they get in the way on the MB).

i cannot say anything about this cable because i buy it thinking to plug my ide dvd burner but when i got it i noticed that it was for a folppy device..i went to check and it was on the ide cables link and also it says ''high- performance connections to your IDE Drive'' so i thought it was for ide but in the description it also says floppy so it was really my foult..i only read the ide part so??? the cable is pretty good...good plastic and looks great unfortunatelly it wasn't the one i was waiting for.
