Ultra-Cord 59-inch 3.5 mm Retractable Stereo Earphones

Bought the ultra earphones in January. Loved them! Can't say enough about the benefits of having a retractable cord plugged into my sweet ipod Touch. No tangling-EVER! However, the earphones stopped working yesterday and I was all set to do the warranty dance. Not so. Called the toll-free number listed below the product info. and the rep. handled it with quick ease. KUDOS to Ultra! A fine company that knows how to conduct good business! And, yes, I'm happily getting a new pair!

cheap is ok, but these are junk. design foibles abound. Earpiece fell apart on first use, simply wouldn't go back together, exposed wires and all! Good idea, dreadful execution. plenty of durable inexpensive products on the market, just look around.

I haven't had any problem with the cords retracting. The sound is good for their size and price. I like their easy portability, but the ear pieces tend to loose the rubber cover, and they may fall apart. If they work for six months - the prices was okay.

Great up until one of the earphones died after about 2 weeks of use.

Retracts sometimes better than others. Earphones don't like to stay in ears. Okay value for the price.

Works very well for a couple of years then the retracting apparatus begins to fail. But, a good deal for the price nonetheless.

I needed $1 more on my checkout to qualify for free shipping and I needed a pair of headphones, so I thought why not. Headphones are terrible. Cheap, shoddy product. I have not once been able to fully retract the cables. Not even on first use. I usually declare victory if I can get them to retract to 8 inches. Ear buds don't fit in ear. Regularly fall out to the point where it is not usable. Conclusion - these headphones provide no discern able value to the consumer.

We utilize these headphones at our office for digital transcription. It is very difficult to find headphones with cord lengths longer than 36 inches, and the 59 inch length is perfect for our situation. While the sound quality is not the best, it still suits our needs. The headphones survive about 6-8 months of secretary abuse. We also find the retractor to be too heavy, so these are removed immediately. Considering the fact that professional transcription headphones start at 25 dollars, these are a steal at 7 bucks.

Cords tangle if you retract them too fast, 2 days of use and both pairs I bought have fallen apart, the only thing holding the tiny (low quality) speaker in place is the black rubber cover that is not secured in any way, once that falls off (about an hour in my case) the speakers are free to fall out of the enclosure and leave the wires exposed... Spend extra money and get some decent headphones if you expect to ever use them.

Retractable cord tangles, won't retract. Liners come off of earphones. Sound quality not great.

I received the headphones as expected. The price can't be beat. However, the sound quality was just poor, especially if you like listening to music with some bass. I've had the headphones less than 2 months now and the previous comments about the retractable coil getting stuck or retracting when I accidentally tug on it are true. Now one of the earbuds has completely fallen apart. Do yourself a favor....spend a little extra to get something with quality.

Unbeatable price and retract feature combined with excellent sound quality make these a great value. I usually buy another set with new orders to have spares for all puters or gifts to friends.

after 2 weeks, the sound from 1 hearphone have already a distortion ... disappointed ! I put it in the garbage, for 10 $ ... I don't want to take time to use the warranty for having new ones ...

After using the earphones for a day the sound went out in one ear. The plastic piece that holds the earphone together kept falling off, sometimes getting stuck in my ear. Once that wouldn't stay on at all the metal piece and the wiring all fell out. Great concept - VERY POOR QUALITY!

I've bought two of these headphones in the past year, and am extremely satisfied by this product. My first pair only broke because I steped on it after 8 months of continual use. Great sound quality, amazing price. I'm thinking of buying afew as backups because I'm not sure how long this will be for sale.

great earbuds for the price! I love the retractable feature, it makes it a lot easier to move around while wearing them.

I couldn't pass them up for the price. I like the retracting cable, it fits neatly in the pocket of my laptop case without the wires getting all tangled. The retraction works well if you take it slow and are careful. I prefer ear buds but the comfort of these earphones is OK once you get them positioned right. Sound quality is good. The only downside was the shipping cost as much as the headphones.

These are great simply because you don't have your cables hanging all over the place. The quality is okay but the retracting is the key. Great for airplanes, bookbags, laptops etc.

Can't be beat for $7.00. Very convenient especially on trips. Not meant for workouts. Have had no problems after 3 months of considerable use.

These earbuds are great for light use and work well for traveling or carrying in a purse as they retract and do not get tangled.

I can not believe the STUPIDITY of some of these reviews! These ear buds are not for high impact work outs and high humidity environments. I have used mine for better than a year. I take good care when I retract them and I do not treat them like a yo-yo. These are fantastic for the price when well treated they will last a few years!

In 3 words: ''worth the money''. I've had mine since 2007, use them everyday. Sound quality is as good as any mid-priced earbud. I'm writing this because I'm going to pick up a replacement pair today. The original one finally wore out - the retraction case broke, but the earbuds still work fine.

Not too bad for the price but the part that winds it all up is kind of big and annoying on a treadmill or while running. Sounds ok.

I bought a pair of these because they were cheap and seemed to be nice and portable. The headphones are convenient and of the same audio quality that came with my mp3 player(low-mid end). However, the pieces on the ear phone are prone to falling off. Everything about the unit is fragile except for the cord itself. I don't save receipts for $5 electronics, so the warranty is sort of useless to me at this point.
