Good power supply but dated
Comment:
Why would a new power supply only have 2 SATA connections? had to buy adapters to power both DVD burners and my hard drive. Charge an extra $2 and addd some adapters

Performs well, don't buy if you plan to upgrade
Comment:
This PSU only provides two SAS power cables, which is disappointing if you're looking to upgrade to more than two HDDs (and they're spaced such that a SAS HDD and a SAS Optical drive would need to be on top of each other). Other than that, performs well and is nice and quiet.

Nice and simple
Comment:
Very nice for its price. Can't beat the lifetime warranty. Only problem is that there are only two sata connecters and its the same wire. It is very close together too, so you can only really use it for either 2 Hard drives or 2 CD,DVD drives. I would recommend getting a 4 pin adapter for the sata.

Good Value for the Money
Comment:
Works just as expected. The biggest problem - the description on this web site! It says it has a 4-8 pin EPS connector. What is that? Does it work like a 20-24 pin connector where you can strip off the extra 4 pins to get you a 20 pin connector? No, it has both a 4 pin connector and an 8 pin connector.

Works good
Comment:
Seems to work great. The cables are nice and long, which I needed to hook up a cdrom drive in a strange spot in my case (its a non-standard case). The PSU seems to work without any issues, and is silent and cool.

I purchased this item as a replacement on a Dell Dimension E310. It worked great! I admit I was a bit concerned with all the hooplah about Dell being specific about replacement.... It works fine and no problems. Thank you for the fast shipment and no hassles. kim

Its good....
Comment:
Ive purchased this PSU before and it worked flawlessly. I bought it again and it arrived in a condition similar to someone had beat it with a hammer. But thankfully this retailer exchanged the product with a new one.

Good but not quiet
Comment:
As always Ultra and this seller make another big hit. I have always had real good luck with Ultra products but this power supply is a little more noisy than I expected. It's performance is on top and dependable.

Connectors Too Short...
Comment:
I bought this a couple of days ago. It's the same price as the 350W, so why not go for the 400!?! When I installed it however, the 4 pin connector for my floppy/card reader drive was not long enough (needed about another cm or 2). Unfortunately I have to return the product - I just hope I'm not charged a restocking fee since it's the manufacturers fault. Will definitely write a poorer review if this does happen! Stay tuned...

Quiet and easy to install.
Comment:
Easily replaced the 300W OEM power supply that was in my Gateway Tower. Runs quiet and have had no problem for the past month. Only time will tell, but for the price, you cannot go wrong.

Great PSU at a super price.
Comment:
Very easy to install, quiet, and plenty of connectors. I had never installed more than RAM and wasn't quite sure how difficult this install would be, it could not have been easier. I added a new video card that required upgrading my PSU and after 2 weeks of constant use the Ultra LS400 has performed superbly.

Great Buy!
Comment:
I have purchased about 10 of these units over the last year for customers and custom builds. They are well made and very quiet. Only one failed after nearly a year of use. Ultra had a replacement on my desk in 48 hours with no fuss or hesitation. They even paid the shipping back on the old one. Can't beat that for a $30 power supply!

Bought this last night with my 2nd 2 gig stick of patriot mem, after reading some reviews i decided to try it, and i stuck it in last night, nice wiring setup, made it easy to dress up nice, I also took Frank21142 review to good use, and moved the id sticker to the right side ( great point frank) ,I upgraded from a 300 watt besteck PS, it was min for my 7300 GT nvidia card, Now at 400 watts i can feel a difference of 100 watts, I also removed the grill from the fan on this Ultra ls400, and checked all screws before install, my comps neat n tiddy so im not worryed about wires in the fan,, i booted right up this morning and its very quiet,, so far im very happy with a 29.99 PS upgrade , ive done alot of upgrades to my comp thanks to you guys, CUDOS to you both !!!

This power supply is very nice for the money. It is really quiet also. The only problem that I see is the ID sticker is on the wrong side of the power supply (it faces the inside of the case)

Had it for about 3 months and died. The fan freaked out for 5 minutes every time I turned the PC on. It wasn't powering a demanding PC. You get what you pay for.

Ultra LS400 Lifetime Series 400W Power Supply - ATX, SATA-Ready, PCI-Express
Comment:
Bought one of these, on the surface it looked like a great deal. Dropped it into a modest machine (not a hard-core gaming rig or anything hugely demanding), worked for 20-30 minutes then just shuts off. When it comes to PSUs you really do get what you pay for. Will go for the Ultra X3 instead, more expensive but a much higher quality.

Nto bad for the money!! but I wouldnt buy it again...only two SATA plugs and its on the same wire....so I had to mount my harddrive on top of my dvd drive...I might switch it out one of these days for something with more power and more SATA otherwise its just fine.
