This is a really nice product. It both looks great and works great. The performance is very good on USB and just as fast as normal SATA 3.0 on the ESATA connection. Very good quality construction and the aluminum chassis keeps the drive cool. This is the best 2.5 enclosure I have every purchased. I would highly recommend this product.

this a great little case, i recently replaced the hdd in my ps3 so i bought this to put the old 40gig hdd in. It also comes with a esata pci bracket.

Bought this when I upgraded the HDD in my PS3. Installed a 500GB Western Digital HD in the PS3 and took the 80GB HD out of the PS3 and put it in this case. The HD slid right into the enclosure, and was fast and easy to setup. the whole operation took 10 minutes. I highly recommend for the price!

It works perfectly. It could have been less complicated to set up, but I'd give up simplicity for style any day. Having all the cables you'll ever need is great, especially since an esata cable can cost half price of this enclosure on it's own.

This deal comes with the complete package, everything required (except the HDD) to install and operate. The unit has a quality feel and is very solid. The only issue I has was installing the Hitachi 360GB Travelstar HDD. While it slid into the enclosure housing fine, the connection board wouldn't seat properly into the enclosure when connected to the HDD and the screw holes on the HDD didn't match up. While I couldn't find any flaw in the enclosure to cause this, I got it to seat properly after I put the instructions away and used common sense. It all works great, I'd recommend it to anyone.

Was very easy to install HD in to. They give you everything you need to do it with. Comes with every type of cable if you decide to change your connection method. It is plug and play on Windows Vista and Windows 7. I have to say that this product does everything they say.

Bought this enclosure to try and salvage my data on a drive from a dead laptop. My original plan was to buy and external HDD and get someone to transfer the info for me. This was $50 cheaper than the cheap little HDD i had found, and I didn't have to pay anyone to transfer the info. Great product, works fast, easy to install and use, and the price is right. Shipping was fast and cheap.

Used this enclosure with the WD 500GB 5400/8MB 2.5" Mobile SATA HD. It was a breeze to install and worked great. Love the fact that it has eSata. Don't have a PC with eSata yet but I'm sure it will work great. All the cables that it came with felt strong and well insulated. Great Buy, I think .

I bought this device so that I could copy the sata hard drive from a dead Toshiba laptop. Every thing worked as planned. I like this enclosure a lot.

This really is the best bang for your buck you can get when it comes to an external hard drive case. You get USB and E-Sata connections, it comes with tons of extras. You can find plenty of cases that cost allot more and give you so much less. The only issue i had was the holes drilled to mount the hard drive had burs (metal shavings) left on them so i had to file that down to get the drive in. Other then that, perfect.

The hole alignment for the hard drive mounts were off by about .10". It didnt allow for the screws to properly seat in the hard drive. I had to take a small file and ream to get it to fit. I was disappointed in this, but needed the enclosure to work, as I didnt have time to return it. Other than this, it works well and as advertised per the spec

When I assembled mine, the aluminum case is not completely sealed on the sides. The seams are not completely flush with the casing. Doesnt bother me too much though.

Has problems if you want to switch between pc's with different connections - eSATA to USB - two Ultra ULT40244 Hard Drive Enclosure did ths same thing, I just use it for the faster eSATA connection and it works just fine. It would be nice to have more than one eSATA hook up.

Bought this enclosure to house my my old laptop hard drive. Love the brushed aluminum case. The included magtip screwdriver made inserting the tiny screws much easier. In about 5 minutes, went from unboxing to plugging in. USB works great and I have eSATA for future connectivity.

I am extremely pleased with this hard drive enclosure. The USB speeds are great, but the eSATA connectivity makes this a real winner! I am going to buy more of these with Seagate drives.
