Low Profile

I bought this unit over all the others I looked at because I have little clearance above the outlet in my center console. It worked well in there because the jack is angled away from vertical and the unit doesn't have a lot of the body sticking out from the utility plug (formerly known as a cigarette lighter). It seems to be well constructed, but I've only had it a few weeks. |

Barely gets the job done

Bought this item to charge my Motorola phone via USB cord and save some money, only to find that my cell phone refuses to charge from an "unidentifiable charger." Not the product's fault, but worth noting. Adapter is also used to "charge" my Zen X-Fi MP3 player, but merely provides enough juice to keep the battery from draining. Cannot charge from dead and play at the same time. |

Simple Charger for USB connected cell phone

This is a functional USB charger adapter for auto cigarette lighter. Easy to grip to remove or insert. Must supply your own USB charger cable. |
I bought this adapter for the car cuz i went on road trip but i didnt try it out until i left. Needless to say i had a dead ipod touch the whole time. Make sure that the charger is a 5v and 700mA not 500mA.
