Works great. I didn't want a backlit keyboard because they tend to eat batteries and I didn't want to spend an extra $150 on a Harmony One (when it was on sale). The universal programming made it easy to program the basic keys for my devices and the learning feature let me add the few key functions that were unique to each individual remote. NOTE: Although the description says backlit buttons, only the device buttons (TV, DVD, VCR, etc.) light up (flash) when you press a key on the keyboard.

Nice device, worth buying. I'll buy again, but as an inexpensive gift. some of the features are a bit lacking or under-tested. I wish the buttons would light up. I'll spend a little more money and research on my next universal remote.

I purchased this universal remote to replace the original worn out remote of an old Goldstar TV. Using the 3-digit codes provided in the manual for Goldstar units, I got the POWER, CHANNEL, and VOLUME buttons working. I then then used the programming feature of the AVEX R6 to reprogram the number keys to work properly. The learning and programming feature of this remote is what makes it special and worth the price.
