Very quiet, even when it speeds up at greater temps. Uses typical molex for power and has seperate connection for rpm monitoring. none I employed this fan for my processor heatsink. I was tired of the loud whine of a 60mm delta, and figured this fan would be nice. I am actually glad I chose this route. The fan is super quiet, and cools the heatsink just fine. Please note: My heatsink has fairly broadly spaced fins, and it is a Athlon 3200+ processor. This fan would not be so fantastic on a thinly spaced fin heatsink. |

1. Move a lot of air for a 60mm fantwo. Automatic speed sensor works as advertised3. Really quiet -- even at max speed None I just enjoy Vantac fans. They work as advertised and are really quiet. I purchased two of these as exhaust fans to go along with a Vantac 80mm Item#:N82E16811999602, also used for exhaust. They have helped retain my case temps in control. Never ever believed a 60mm fan could move so significantly air, but you can really feel the hot air becoming pushed out the back of the case. I was a bit worried that they would turn out to be noisy at 3000 rpm, but they are nonetheless amazing silent. They run at 2000 rpm usually and ramp up imperceptibly to 3000 when necessary--verified by Speedfan. I have never ever been disappointed in a Vantac product--and these are ball bearing fans, so really should final a great extended when. |

Like the title says, the fan is quiet when it's cool. I shorted the thermistor to see what it would do at max speed, and it gets a bit noiser, but hey, that's how 60mm fans are. It's thick, and sad to say, the screw holes are a solid chunk of plastic, so you will Need long screws. By long, I imply you need to have to discover appropriate size screws that are LONGER than 1." The screws in both of my heatsinks employed Ţ sheet metal screws. Wood screws would've worked as well. The screws were about 1ǚ" lengthy. Attempting to locate a Ţ sheet metal screw LONGER than 1" is Impossible. I searched for days at many hardware shops, like Property Depot, and Nobody HAS IT. And to point this to your CPU heatsink, you totally Have to have a screw > 1" due to the design of the fan. I at some point was able to get use ෨-32 1.25" machine screws which had been just a BIT larger diameter than Ţ sheet metal screws and forced it into the old holes. Fortunately the supplies of the screw holes had been softer (aluminum on 1 and plastic on the other) and gave way to the solid steel screws and I was capable to secure the fans. They are each running effectively now and my space is significantly quieter as a result.Make confident you have the proper screws on hand. |

These are great fans to use for further heat exhaust. Only spin up as considerably as needed based on air temperature flowing by means of them lowering noise aspect when complete airflow isn't required. Just recall that the temperature sensor is in the fan physique . . . and as a result it should be utilized as an exhaust fan pushing hot air out of a case. Given their 60mm size, they're nevertheless quieter, even at full speed, than other fans in the very same size and bearing class. If you need quieter fans with the exact same airflow rating, get larger fans that can turn at lower RPM to do that (RPM is the biggest issue in noise). My only want is that they could be powered by the motherboard as an alternative of only the fan spinning sensor wire connecting to the motherboard. I will in the end remove the bulky four-pin drive power connector and place the power connection in the identical motherboard connector as the third sensor wire. Would have gotten five eggs if not for that. Added a pair of these to the back of an old case with new motherboard, processor, graphics card and RAM that create substantially much more heat than the case was made for (ATX desktop box that dates back to Win95 Socket 7 ATX motherboards). Knew it would need to have better airflow ahead of rebuilding it. Gave a good, hefty-duty steel case a new lease on life! |

I installed this fan in a Micro ATX case. This fan has temperature handle built into it, so it will speed up or slow down as the temps improve or lower in your Computer. Hard to find a 60mm fan that is relativily quiet, so it works wonderful. None Now, if they only created a 70 x 15mm fan like this one particular I would get it. If you are hunting for a 60mm fan, this is the one to get. |

Comments: Okay fan, just don't attempt to use it as a CPU fan or your CPU temp could go above 45-50 C on idle (not to mention the search for custom screws to make it fit). When used as it's supposed to it's about the finest for its size, and it by no means made a sound between 1500 and 3000 RPM. I would reccommend, for a couple of additional bucks, a great 80 mm fan and a 60-to-80 adapter, so far more airflow is accessible. |

Keeps items Great and cool. Operates far better than the garbage stock fans that Thermaltake place in my Lanbox. Have three employing as Exhaust. Blow a lot much more air than other fans in this class. They have temp sensor and 3pin connectors to mobo so you can control fanspeed. threeᄨmm version of this in my Lanbox operate sweet with the five fan connectors on my Maximus III Gene Board! I didn't actually uncover a liking to the mounting screws that came with them. They won't screw in straight no matter how significantly you try when you start off, They straighten up the additional you tighten them. They operate (a minor con). You won't find any directions on how to install these fans, so hope you know airflow direction (mounts have arrows). Great fans! |

Great airflow for such a small fan. I have 3 in the back of my case and it keeps almost everything nice and cool. Louder than my other fan. I do have three. They aren't horribly loud but still you can hear them more than what I would have thought. Moves a lot of air....it'll suprise you. Wish it was a straight up 3 pin connection. |

Great and quiet. Reasonably priced. Not a whole lot of airflow, but what a lot more can a single count on from such a small fan? I was concerned since some folks wrote reviews that stated this fan was noisey. So numerous other individuals said it was quiet that I gave it a attempt. I bought two to replace ones that came with my case which have because gone undesirable. These blow just as considerably air, though I admit that's not a whole lot because they're so smaller. I give them a thumbs-up. |

Comments: So quiet! I use 3 ThermoFlow fans in my system (two 80mm and 1 60mm) and it's SILENT! The loudest fan in my method is now the fan on my Tt Spark 7 heat sink. The 3 fans seem to push sufficient air via my program to keep it cool, maintaining the RPMs low unless it really warms up inside the case. |

Thermal sensor on fan automatically controls fan speed. This is way cool. Utilized to replace a affordable CPU fan on a Duron 1800. Fan runs at minimum speed, processor runs cooler than with stock fan. Oh, did I mention, it's quiet. Not as quiet as other much more high-priced fans but way greater than stock fans. Beware, it's thick. Be ready to go digging in your screw jar for lengthy adequate screws if utilised to replace a CPU fan. Also, if employed as a CPU fan, the fan need to be oriented so the sensor is sampling the air from the heatsink, not the situation. Other people who whine about the connectors have nothing better to write about. For the price, this is a great fan to upgrade loud stock fans. Due to it's thickness, the fan moves additional air per rev than thin fans do. This enables it to turn slower, therefor, much less noise. |

Comments: I replaced the two 60mm case exhaust fans in my Athenatech A100BB.200 mATX case with these. The stock fans practically did absolutely nothing. These are a major improvement! They are a thicker fan than the stock ones, and so have a a lot more effective blade pattern.I knock it down a star for the connectors. The three-pin only has the RPM wire connected, you have to use the 4-pin for power and its only got a female connector, not a pass-thru. I just didn't use the 3-pin. For the energy, I clipped the four-pin connectors off both fans and soldered them with each other so that they only use a single four-pin connector for both fans. The thermistor is soldered inside the fan directly in the output airflow.Bottom line: Excellent for quiet case fan use, but I'd appear for anything else for CPU fan usage (you ought to upgrade to 80mm anyways). |

Great fan! It is very quiet and moves ALOT of air. I purchased this b/c my case supported an additional 60 mm fan. None Only genuinely fantastic as an exhaust fan b/c of the temp sensor. Also attempt to plug it into the mobo away from the heat sink that way it won't spin at high speed all the time, but just when items are obtaining warm. |

Moves a lot of air for a 60 mm fan. Makes additional noise than some of the other people. I got this for my Tivo.... and it by no means genuinely cools off adequate to turn out to be incredibly quiet. I had a Silenx fan in there ahead of, which was much quieter than this model. It didn't move as numerous CFMs, but it worked properly adequate AND was quiet. It would do substantially better in a setup where the fan could be mounted away from the energy supply, simply because then it could cool down sufficient to slow to quiet speeds. Regrettably, that isn't an choice in my setup. If you are seeking for a Tivo 60mm fan and need to have quiet, then go with Silenx (or with a funnel adapter and external 80mm fan...) |

Quiet. Self adjusts speeds to compensate for temperature variations. I barely notice its there other then the extra cooling it offers. The screws offered tend to strip their heads a lot more straightforward then expected. Place in a mini case to give a small much better air flow so the video card won't get so warm. It seriously did the trick. |

low-cost, relatively quiet, variable speed four pin adapter only I would have preferred a three pin adapter but its not a huge deal. Bought it to replace a CPU fan for an old 1.2ghz machine. I know its supposed to be a case fan but it performs wonderful for CPU's too. Your gonna have to buy some longer screws if you strategy on using it for a CPU but that's not a big deal. The factor is pretty quiet, tons quieter than the old jet engine that came with the cpu. |
Comments: Fantastic fan, applied it to replace my stock intel fans, which sounded additional like a jetliner than a cpu cooler, on my xeons. Substantially quieter
