Very useful and works very well to create an SATA connection in an IDE Only computer. Does not seem to slow down data transfer rate. If it does, it can't be seen with the naked eye. The device comes with 2 SATA data cables and one Molex to Berg-plug (Floppy) power adapter but does not come with any Molex to SATA power adapters. I had to buy a Molex to Berg-plug adapter from another local PC Repair Tech shop. Also, to make this device work for a DVD drive and still have the DVD drive be bootable, the device had to be inserted in the Primary IDE channel on the board.

Seems a little slow but was easy to install and no apparent compatibility issues. Let me install a couple of surplus 160GB SATA drives in an old machine with no available PCI slots.
