Dropped stacked drives temps by about 4 degrees. super easy install. Its low profile but it does still occupy a drive spot unless you have lots of space in your case. |
I need to lower the hard drive's running temperature in an old computer, whose case doesn't allow installation of a front fan. So, I try this product. First, installation is simple and easy, you just screw it onto the underside of your hard drive. The fan is very quiet and cools the hard drive by a few degrees.It does use up a hard drive slot, but it's unavoidable. Also, the fan has a bright blue LED light. This may count as a cool feature for some, but as I usually leave this computer on during the night, I'm not too thrilled by it myself.
