Vantec UGT-PC302 2 Port USB 3.0 PCIe Host Card - 2x USB 3.0

I got this paired with a Vantec CX USB 3.0 enclosure and a Western Digital Cavier Blue 1TB (WD10EALS). Doing a benchmark in HD Tune basic, I got an average transfer rate of 109.4MB/s (min 65.2MB/s, max 136.9MB/s), burst rate 108.1MB/s, access time 12.6ms and CPU usage 9.5%. A more real world test (transferred a 4GB file onto the drive) shows that it's roughly double the speed of USB 2.0.Most USB 3.0 cards require a molex power connector, whereas this one requires a SATA power connector. I prefer this, but others may not like it as it may require an adapter if your power supply doesn't have enough, and it doesn't come with one. My PSU only has two SATA power connectors (which I'm using) but luckily I had an adapter lying around.I realize I have to pay a premium as an early adopter, but considering this is just a USB 3.0 host card, I think it's a little pricey right now. These things will definitely drop  in the near future as it becomes more mainstream. I'm gonna knock off half a point simply because of the price.For now, I'm fairly happy with the results.
