The two.4x and 8x version each perform fine for this, just burn at two.four regardless of rated speed. None at all. NONE Wasted 30 discs. DVD player won't recognize the burned discs. Right after tweeking Imgburn to alter booktype to DVD-Rom, only a couple of had been recognized, right after about 2-ten minutes. These discs yield the lowest errors when write quality scanned that I have come across for DL media. When you want the absolute ideal quality, step correct up. On an NEC 7240, the 8x writes are close to flawless. I don't care for the leading side finish. I would prefer a TDK like finish to the leading. For this value I ought to get a classy looking disc. I guess I could gripe about no overspeed writing but they burn perfectly at 8x on new and old drives alike so... 5 eggs Infrequently will yield 2 PIF consecutive, max on an NEC 7240 when written at 8x but this is amazing for a DL disc. These discs are 2nd to none... been employing them for ages. In no way produced a coaster.. not 1 In the last month Newegg has raised the price on these discs by 20% and raised shipping. Only reason for the 4 eggs rather than five. Come on newegg... a 20% cost hike? seriously? This is the very first time in quite a few years of dealing with newegg that I've been sorely disappointed in them. Newegg has been my 1 stop shop for anything and everything PC and electronic associated for years now. I don't like getting to shop for a far better price than newegg's. It's a shame.

I believed my burner could be going poor so I attempted a unique machine and nonetheless had issues. I then attempted some other older Verbatims of the similar variety and they burned fine on both machines. I think I'll stay away from 30 packs that go on sale for 29.95 from now on.

They burn and verify. Good quality scans with DVDSpeed4 indicate a challenge with the 2nd layer producing broad high PIF bands and excellent scores about 50%. They look somewhat much better burnt at 4x rather than 8x. I bought 5 spindles from Newegg in late Novཅ and am attempting to return them for a refund. The good quality is drastically lower than prior batches of these discs bought from Newegg and elsewhere over the prior 2 years. Verbatim has quality control troubles.

They work excellent!! I'm burning with a Sony DRU-840A on speeds x4 with backup games, and x8 with backup movies & data. I haven't tried them with my Lite-on LH-20A1P. I order these periodically and haven't had any troubles inside the last year. These are the ideal Verbatim because they are created in Singapore. The ones created in Taiwan are 80% coasters. No difficulties as of but. Like I stated, if they're not made from Singapore then you're in for a headache.
