Verbatim 8X Dual Layer DVD+RDL 30 Disc Spindle

Employed to be superior good quality. I was generally willing to pay much more for Verbatim DVD+R DL discs due to the fact of their consistent top quality and capacity to function in a variety of drives without burning coasters, which is critical given that DL discs are additional costly. Previously, I had the older two.4X discs and I went by means of two whole spindles of 20 without having a single coaster on my Pioneer DVR-111DBK drive in my desktop video editing computer. With these new 8X discs, I had 4 coasters out of the initially 6 before switching over to the built-in Matshita BD-MLT UJ230AS (Blu-Ray burner) on my Sony Vaio AW notebook, which has generally been a lot much more dependable on any DL discs. I even tried slowing the burn speed on the Pioneer drive, to no avail. Therefore, there are no factors anymore to pay a premium for Verbatim discs when I may as well use a much less expensive brand. I ended up biting the bullet and purchasing a new drive rather of spending much more on Verbatim DL discs. I known as Verbatim tech support and spoke with Sveeta (sp?) and she told me the new discs are made in a selection of factories which includes Malaysia, China, and Taiwan, and a spindle could have discs from all plants. This may possibly clarify why my older discs had been labeled "Made in Taiwan", whereas the new discs have no such origin facts. She also told me the discs have had some recent manufacturing issues, so possibly they will get far better, but I ended up purchasing a new Sony drive and switching to one more brand of discs.

These disks have been ideal so far. No coasters and it does the job. None so far. Newegg delivered these quicker than I expected; Fantastic job.

Bought a 30 pack. Cheapest price I could find for that many.Burned a few dual-layer DVDs. No duds so far. Seems like the quality is good. That's pretty standard for Verbatim.Will definitely buy more if I need more.

Best dual layer discs out there, but come on guys we are in 2010 and dual dvd-rs cost as MUCH as bluray blanks?!?!?!These should definitely drop  to 50 cent or less a piece.

These are still the best, most reliable DVD+R DL's I've found. They just work, for everything - movies, data files, etc. I've had the odd video stutter when burning the discs at 8x, but burning them at 2.4x or 4x yields no problems whatsoever.

Ill keep this short, i mostly use these for backing up my 360 games and they are the best out there for that.

For the price of 30$ for 30 Disks, that is definitely a deal. 1$ a Dual Layer DVD is perfect. And Verbatim has always been my favorite!

verbatims have been great to me, as well as anyone else whom i've heard from. worth the premium in most cases, in my opinion.

Considering how much more expensive these are over the single layer blank dvds, I had highly expected them to perform well. And yes they do perform well without giving me any waste coaster. I would hope for their price to drop  though. Only 4 stars due to its price.

I have been through many different brands of DVD-R DL (Memorex, Fuji, ...) and they would fail to even finish the burn about half of the time (at 2.4x) and of those, only half were readable. I though it was my liteon burner, though verbatim DVD-R DL always worked! They never failed a burn and they were always readable. Best DL I have found, though I won't risk any more failures with other brands! They just work. Try to get them on sale if you can!

MKM 003 is manufacturer ID - no problems burning with these, i've tried other brands like memorex which say successful burn but trying in 360 they don't work

Using these to backup my games. Excellent price and burn quality. I still burn l 2.4X even though these are capable of 8x.

I have a samsung burner and I've had a 99% success rate with these discs. Been burning at 8X and haven't come across any problems in having them read in different devices.

Verbatim just plain makes the best dual layer DVDs around, i.e. they burn reliably, often at speeds faster than their rating, with EXTREMELY few coasters, and they work fine in most DVD players, and probably ALL DVD players from the last few years. I've tried another brand of dual layer DVD, and so long as Verbatims are available, I'll never go back, or try any other brand, because I know Verbatim discs work great 99.999% of the time. HIGHLY recommended!!!!

Great hardware, never makes a coaster, but very expensive. I got these on sale a while back and was very satisfied.

Très bon disque . On doit s' y attendre aussi avec une compagnie comme Verbatim. 8X c' est bien correct pour moi de toute façon c' est très rare que j'utilise une vitesse supérieure à cela même quand c'est possible. Payer $46 ce qui revient à $150 du disque pour du Dual Layer c' est un prix résonnable. Est à $50 en prix régulier. Si le prix vient à descendre à $30 pour 30 disque c' est sûr que je m'en commanderai quelques spindle de plus. Très recommandable.
