Bought these to archive some games. Works fine, doesn't seem to wear out like some of the cheap DVD-R's I've bought over the years.If only it was a little faster to burn, they can take a while.

Verbatim should not distribute this poor product.No good burns on 5 DVDs.

Major disappointment! Bought these as a replacement item as the ones I wanted were out of stock (Verbatim DVD+R 2.4x 8.5GB Dual Layer Shiny Silver 50PK disc Spindle).Had have great success in the past with Verbatim (only a couple duds, likely user error). Out of this set I have attempted to burn 10 with only 2 successful copies (despite reducing the burn speed to the minimum). A frustrating waste of time.

DO NOT BUY THESE DISCS!I have a Samsung SH-S203B burner and never had any trouble burning before (using ImgBurn).Out of 7 discs tried, 2 burned correctly. 2 could not finish burn (one stopped at 50% with a write error, the other at the finalize step making tons of strange noise). 3 disks completed up to 100% saying the burn was successful, but when put back into the dvd drive they are still marked as empty with no content on them. Unfortunately I erased the original content from my HD before verifying them, so I lost my content. Very disappointed (and I bought 2 packs).

These discs are made in China (surprise!) by UMEDISC, not Singapore or India like the good ol' Verbatims.I probably would not have bought 2 spindles if I knew that beforehand. They look "cheap" with the blank printable top, but fortunately (so far) have burned OK with my Samsung CDDVDW SH-224BB, although the usable speeds are only 4x and 6x, not 8x as advertised. That doesn't present a problem in my case coz I always prefer to burn at lower speed for better quality, but I still think the ads should be less misleading.
