Bought this phone for about what a piece of junk one would have cost at Target. MUCH better clarity, distance from the base, and just an overall great phone. Has everything we could need--you can check messages from the handsets. Handsets are also well put together--they just have a nice feel to them. The base itself is a bit retro, with LED dots instead of numbers, but that is about the only thing that I haven't loved. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
