ViewSonic X Series VX2240W Black / Silver 22" 5ms, 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:Really hard to Set the color
Pros:Great monitor QualityGreat response time Comment:
Well, i've bought this monitor since around 2 week and that monitor is really fast and great quality. the only problem is the color calibration. If you try to set the color with the Screen option, Good luck. You really need to use your Graphic card option and you still need to have luck to set it. If you have access to a SPIDER color calibration tools Buy this monitor! |

ViewSonic X Series VX2240W Black / Silver 22" 5ms, 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:· Ubuntu Linux 7.10 Doesn't natively support the optimal resolution (1680x1050 which is a slightly strange resolution), but it looks alright at 1600x1200 - just a little stretched.· Umm ... well, the stand isn't very adjustable, but that doesn't really bother me.
Pros:· Big & Bright· Crystal Clear· 2ms Latency (and still not very expensive!)· Looks very stylish· Very solid quality components - nothing seems cheap or flimsy· Buttons & Menus are easy and intuitive.· Nice wide viewing angle Comment:
My wife bought this monitor for me (using my own NCIX account LOL!) for Christmas, and I am very happy with it. It was very easy to set up, everything looks crystal clear, whites are bright, blacks are very black, and everything looks very smooth. I am an Ubuntu Linux user, so it's a little annoying that the native resolution is not automatically supported by my OS (and Viewsonic hasn't figured out that there are MILLIONS of Linux users out there yet), so keep that in mind if you are a Linux user. It *does* look okay at other resolutions, just that photograph editing might be a bit annoying because images are a little stretched. All in all, I am super impressed with this monitor (and I have seen plenty), and I would definitely recommend it. |

ViewSonic X Series VX2240W Black / Silver 22" 5ms, 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:Very visible scanlinesVertical bars visibleOdd distortion occurs randomly
Pros:Good designBright Comment:
It seems I have received a broken screen. On 2 different computers, this screen is exhibiting horrible scanlines and distortion at it's native resolution, and other resolution. I have tried the D-SUB and DVI cable but there seems to be no cure. Even the colors aren't so pretty as everything looks dithered when watching a movie.I am very dissatisfied with it and I made a RMA to get myself refunded so that I can get myself another screen (looking at Samsung 226W). |

ViewSonic X Series VX2240W Black / Silver 22" 5ms, 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:None for price
Pros:No dead pixelsBeautiful color Comment:
I picked this up for my bosses new office, so all I have seen on it is spreadsheets and some internet browsing. But the color is very bright, and the picture is crisp. No height adjustment on the stand, but the bezel and adjustment buttons look great. No dead pixels either. I think I will buy the cheaper model with speakers & try to convince him thats the one he really needs and make him a trade! |
I bought this monitor as a second monitor on my system. My first monitor is a VA2226W but there was no supply of this monitor after waiting 2 months. I picked this monitor bebause they look the same and are exactly the same height. Even though is is a 22 in and the other a 21.6 they match pretty good. I actually would like 2 of these monitors. I was looking for an adjustable stand originally but that is what you get for a low cost.
