Despite most of the nice reviews you can find on the web, I'm fairly dissapointed in this monitor. The cons as stated earlier are its drawbacks. I've spent a lot of time adjusting the settings but to no avail. I've compared this monitor to my other Samsung 22" and BenQ 24" screens, and they perform much better than the Viewsonic LED. I've connected this monitor to my desktop PC via HDMI-mini HDMI cable (high quality ION cable) and powerful Nvidia GTX560Ti TwinFrozerII.The dual hinge feature (Bookstand) peddal can only extend up to about 15-20 degree angle. I cannot afford to pull the hinge up anymore than 20 degree other than breaking it. The unit can only sit on stand but the bookstand feature is broken. It's one of the primary reason I bought this monitor and it's also its competitive advantage over its competitor.I've no choice but have to exchange this unit for another option. Here goes the first review for this monitor, and I hope you buy it with cautious. I normally don't like to be the first reviewer for this reason. No disrespect to the person who posted the first review but if they did 5 minutes of research they would know why the following happens."Color accuracy is below averageColor reproduction is washed outOverly bright and saturated contrastPoor black level"All you have to do is go to your nvidia control panel, adjust desktop colour settings and change the default setting of "RGB" to "YCbCr444", hit apply and viola, rich beautiful colours and blacks, contrast etc...If you read the proper reviews this monitor was considered one of the top 27 inch LED's. I say was because it is older so I'm sure there's better stuff out there now.
