VisionTek TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe HDTV Tuner PVR w/Remote 900192 PCI-Express x1 Interface - Retail
Cons:needs nore inputs

Pros:TV Wonder 650 by ATI
Comment:
TV Wonder 650 by ATI is a high end unit, great if you have a HD input. Software is ok but if you get into it in a big way you may need to buy some upgrades in software.

VisionTek TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe HDTV Tuner PVR w/Remote 900192 PCI-Express x1 Interface - Retail
Cons:included ATI Catalyst Media Centre software (but you can choose instead to use tuner with Windows Media Centre)

Pros:Two Tuners - watch or record standard definition or digital/high def television channels on your computer
Comment:
The TV Wonder HD 650 PCIe was relatively easy to install. I immediately received clear standard definition free-to-air channels and cable channels. I cannot yet comment on the tuner's ability to receive digital or high defintion channels but I look forward to trying that soon.I especially liked that when combined with Windows Media Centre, the TV tuner can record individual shows or series. A push on the button on the included TV remote can fast forward through ads.

VisionTek TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe HDTV Tuner PVR w/Remote 900192 PCI-Express x1 Interface - Retail
Cons:- poor PVR software

Pros:- great video quality
Comment:
There were no problems with the installation. I just inserted the tuner into a PCI-E slot, installed all software components and ran the setup for my PVR software.ATI's PVR software, Catalyst Media Center, doesn't have many functions past a VCR/TV system. There isn't much documentation included, so I basically have to use intuition to figure out the software. There doesn't seem to be an EPG even though it's suppose to have one. I use Windows Media Center 2005 and it works great.I only have analog cable, so I can't comment on the digital quality. The video quality comes very close to that on a TV set if not on par. On poor signals, ATI's tuner gives better quality.

Cons:None

Pros:Picture and recording quality, easy installation, Vista compatible.
Comment:
Took all of twenty minutes to install and configure. The quality of the captures is the best I've seen. The included CMC software works with both XP and Vista.
