Of course the cost, somewhat spacious. Was all very good when i installed a new copy of windows 7 on it and was running fine for about a week. I believed almost everything was fantastic and proceeded to install all my software package and today it i kept obtaining blue screen errors on startup and it was unable to boot as well. The noise level of HDD elevated though not discernable. Seriously disappointed with this HDD, i thought WD had relailibity, Seagate had let me down on that factor. Returning this item asap, thank my stars it failed inside the 30 days of purchasing it! RELIABILITY!!! Not so excellent speed.

Great cost. Performs so far. Windows 7 Practical experience Index on this HP Pavilion laptop rates it at 5.9. It's a replacement for a buddy's Western Digital 250GB 5400 rpm which failed. I was troubleshooting it for days, hoping it wasn't a defective drive. No OS would set up on it. I hope it doesn't occur to this drive too.

My 40 GB stock Hitachi HDD lasted a couple years but I lastly ran out of information. 320 Gigs for 50 bucks - you just can't beat that. Noticeably sped up PS3 menu navigating, file browsing, theme installs, etc. Game pre-installs seemed to have also sped up. It's Western Digital - I have had excellent experiences with the brand. Let the testimonials do the talking for this item. It doesn't wave palm fronds in my general direction and hand feed me fresh fruit :( When manually copying your PS3 save files from the stock HDD --> thumb drive, keep in mind some games won't let you. Heavy Rain, Rainbow Six Vegas two, Killzone 2, Rock Band two, and most guitar hero games fall beneath this category. This is intentional and varies from game to game (the vast majority of games will let you). Keep your old HDD around and set it for external access if you want to load up these saves. Don't worry about your trophies - that's all saved on the internet by way of Sony's network. Swapping drives is so straightforward...needs the removal of 5 screws and five minutes of your time - You don't have to be a tech head to do this so if you're not, have no worries. Props to Sony for producing HDD swaps so straightforward and accessible. Hopefully subsequent gen consoles come with at least 500GB to 1TB of storage. BTW, format a thumb drive for FAT32 just before trying to backup PS3 saves. 2GB capacity is additional than enough. Pleased gaming! :)
