I bought this for use with my patriot box office media center. It's fine for music and video, but it was really too slow for using for video. It also really slowed down the experience of browsing my network shares, which have a TON of directories. I'd recommend that if you want audio or pictures, it's fine, but otherwise go with an 802.11n adapter for a bit more. It's well worth it.

I bought this thinking it was the N instead of G adapter. My bad for being in such a hurry. It works, have not tried streaming with it, but decided to use a wired network for the bedroom since it is close to the router, will keep this for my living PBO once i order one, or sell it and get a proper N adapter.

I didn't use this wireless key for my patriot box. But instead, I connected it to my PC and act as an Access Point. Now, all my mobile devices (iphone/ipad) are connecting using wifi shared network. No more 3G in the office anymore.

I bought this in a bundle with a PBO media player. For $5, why not, right? Unfortunately I have not used it since, as it is too big and awkward sticking out of the PBO. I now have it in one of my parts drawers in case I or someone else has a use for it. Fortunately I cat 6'd up my house before I finished the basement so I don't actually need this device because it is archaic. The tiny Asus N adapter is a much more elegant and efficient solution at a similar price.

I was worried that this wouldn't provide enough speed to stream my 8GB+ HD movies but it works perfectly with my WL-520GU router. I can also still surf and download simultaneously while watching a movie and there's no hiccups. I'd only get this if there's a bundle deal with the PBO though because if you spend a couple bucks more you can get a generic wireless N adapter instead.
