Wireless for $20.00!
Comment:
Contrary to some other experiences... A great product. No issues whatsoever. Installation is easy, range is good, no glitches or other problems. What's not to like? |

Poor
Comment:
Worked for all of an hour then dead. Tech support awful. I guess you can't expect much for $20 these days. Try another brand. |

WIRELESS 802.11G 54MBPS PCI CARD TRENDNET
Cons:data transfers are slow comparably to an N adapter on usb
Pros:reasonable cost Comment:
This got the networking in my home going for the first time wirelessly. If you want a minimum investment, before committing these severed my needs. Taking a few minutes to find a PM is suggested. |

Horrible on x64 systems
Comment:
I've tried this card on both XP Pro x64 and Win 7 Pro x64 and in both cases I've had nothing but problems with the adapter dying and causing system errors, lockups, and just general failures. 2 stars instead of 1 because without the included software you can get it to work, however requests being made through the card cause the system to experience hiccups while loading pages. I'm running on a quad-core 4GB mem system, so I shouldn't be seeing this. In both cases the included software failed to actually load after installation. It was only after uninstalling the software and manually loading the driver that I got the card to even work. |

Did not perform well at all!
Comment:
Bought this card and a D-Link external antenna running on a Quad Core system with 8 GB RAM with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Downloaded latest Windows 7 drivers from Trendnet webite and performance was horrible! Returned card and purchased a Linksys WMP54G card. Performance on this card is excellent! |

Great value
Comment:
The price is outstanding and the installation was simple however it would only Tx Rx at 11Mbps not 54Mbps with the drivers on the CD. I downloaded up-to-date drivers from the manufacturer and corrected the problem. I would recommend this product to others. It's a great buy. |

Linux
Comment:
I'd like to be able to give a good review but i bought this for a Linux computer that i built to tinker with , i finally got it working using Debian and Suse 11.1 but not easy ,mainly because hardly anyone caters for Linux ( no drivers )it comes down to what Linux OS u use as to how difficult it is to get working , signal not that great at the moment , maybe changing the channels may help, but overall it works , cheap and this site is fast and efficient. |

not a good card at all
Comment:
This device sounded great at first. then the i found that there was a problem within minutes of the install. after researching the problem, it comes down to bad programming in the firmware. what happens is that the card looses connectivity. it will still show that has a good connection but the card will not allow you to open any web pages. there are many forums that discuss this problem none of wich have a solution. |

Good WI-FI adapter, but shipping expensive
Comment:
I bought this Wi-Fi adapter for a desktop in Mexico. Brought it down here, installed the software and then the hardware, and it worked perfectly. Changed the wi-fi router here and the adapter failed to see the new router until we reinstalled the software and chose another driver. Now everything seems to be fine. My only complaint is the shipping cost for the item, which negates its inexpensive price. |
A well built wireless card that gets the job done. Plug it in to a free PCI slot, install the drivers off the CD and you're good to go. My only complaint about this card is it's range. It can be a little finnicky at times, but once the antenna was rotated to the right position, we had no problems.
