Warpia StreamHD Ve PC to TV Wireless USB Display & Audio Adapter HDMI VGA 1900X1280 XP Vista WIN7
Cons:Sound being intercepted and only got delivered on the TV speaker when connected.Could not stay in screen duplication mode after disconnecting. It always goes back to extended screen mode when reconnected and need to set back to screen duplication mode every time.
Pros:Delivers much better picture quality and sound fidelity on TV than on PC screen and speakers. RF signal strong enough even without line of vision from another room next to the TV. |
A very good solution for viewing videos running from PC or laptop to big TV screen. When compared with WiDi, the Warpia solution has the benefit of being able to move the USB transmitter from computer to computer, even for desktops. As for WiDi, one needs a WiDi equipped laptop together with a receiver box that cost almost the same as the Warpia transmitter/receiver pair. In my set up, I've successfully connected my desktop PC in my home office to the TV in my dining room with a dry wall separating those two rooms. I used a 6 ft USB extension cable to make the USB transmitter to be as close to the receiver as possible. This is really nice for watching long videos or movies. For internet browwing or any activities that require house keyboard interaction, I simple connect the USB transmitter to my laptop.
