This drive is awesome being SataIII 6GB/s it is a big step up from SataII moving the information at almost twice the speed. I really noticed a difference from a SataII drive. Originally bought this as my boot drive for a new X58 i7 machine. Worked fine, no problems at all! Have upgraded to an OCZ Vertex 2 120gb for my boot and the machine is way snappier. This drive now holds a few large programs and temp files, and works flawlessly. |

I wanted to get an SSD drive for my new build, but i could not pass up the price on this baby. Very fast, but it is louder than I expected. So if you are planning on building a silent PC, then you should take that into consideration. I have yet to experience any problems with any WD drives I purchased. I have bought a few Seagate drives aswell, with only one that needed to be replaced. |

I have 4 of these running in a RAID5 config in a Synology DS411J. They withstood the test of copying 2TB of new information to it continuously without exploding and even ran quite cool throughout.- Steal of a deal when they went on sale for $79.
